  • Patent number: 7151654
Abstract: The sensor of the present invention is a tunneling magnetoresistive read sensor that includes first and second electrodes, and a stack positioned between the electrodes. The stack includes at least one sense layer and a tunnel barrier. A shunt member is operatively coupled to the electrodes in parallel with the stack. The shunt member diverts current flowing from the first electrode to the second electrode when the sensor is operational so that current simultaneously flows through the stack and the shunt member to reduce the effective resistance of the sensor.

  • Patent number: 5891480
Abstract: A foil-blowing apparatus and start-up method utilizes switchable roller pairs and a seal in an upstream primary tube stretch to subdivide the interior of the primary tube into an upper chamber and a lower chamber, the lower chamber being in communication with a rising stretch of the primary tube with the tube in a heating chamber which brings the extruded tube to a foil-blowing temperature. The foil is blown by the pressure in the lower pressure chamber, at least during start up.

  • Patent number: 5503265
Abstract: A collecting belt for the web of a spun bond or melt blown apparatus has one deflecting roller with fixed bearings and another deflecting roller with floating bearings upon which pneumatic cylinders act to provide equal forces. Upon the pneumatic system a proportional controller in response to the belt position sensor superimposes control signals to compensate for deviations in belt orientation.

  • Patent number: 5127295
Abstract: An apparatus for longitudinally cutting a longitudinally moving web has upper and lower guides flanking the web and extending transversely thereof parallel to each other, respective upper and lower blade holders riding on and displaceable along the guides transversely of the web, respective upper and lower blades on the holders engageable with the web, and respective upper and lower threaded adjustment spindles extending through the holders. Respective upper and lower half nuts are movable on the holders between coupled positions threadedly engaging the respective spindles and coupling the respective holders thereto and uncoupled positions out of engagement with the respective spindles. Respective upper and lower clamping rods extend through the holders and respective upper and lower clamping shoes are displaceable on the holders between clamping positions engaging the respective spindles and locking the respective holders thereon and released positions out of engagement with the respective spindles.
