  • Patent number: 5875771
Abstract: A universally applicable device for guiding the cable of cable saw systems for sawing concrete, brickwork, natural stone, and other masonry products. A bearing plate supports (and attaches) the guide to a base. A support projects upwardly from the bearing plate. A transverse beam ca be fixed at any height on the support. The transverse beam has one or two free ends. A hollow end beam that can be stopped and rotated by 360.degree. around the longitudinal axis of the transverse beam is disposed on each free end of the transverse beam. The end beam carries deflection rollers on which the incoming and outgoing saw cable is guided to the workpiece and to the cable saw, respectively. Each of the rollers are borne in a roller housing that is rotatable by 360.degree. about the longitudinal axis of the end beam. Any cutting planes or flush cuts and all angles to the work piece can therefore be set, without having to perform any substantial changeover procedure for the cable saw between different cutting jobs.

  • Patent number: 5718216
Abstract: The cutting wire consists of a wire rope (4) with cutting beads (6) affixed thereto that contain bonded superabrasives such as diamond and a cutting wire connector which connects the cutting wire to produce an endless wire loop for use in a wire sawing machine. The cutting wire connector consists of a double joint which has two joint axes intersecting each other at an angle of 90.degree.. The cutting wire connector consists of two forks (1) at the wire ends (4), an intermediate part (2) and two joint pins (3) which connect each form (1) with the intermediate part (2) in such a way that the connection can be opened easily. The cutting wire connected by means of the joint connector has a long service life while exhibiting increased cutting performance and increased utilization of the operating time of the facilities.

  • Patent number: 5645039
Abstract: The invention relates to a cutting wire, with preferably metal-bonded cutting beads with diamond abrasives, and a wire connector to form a loop for use on mobile and stationary wire sawing machines. Through the invention, the life of the cutting wire connectors is considerably improved. This improvement of service life is achieved because premature wire breaks in the proximity of the connector are avoided by introducing preferably annular inserts made of an elastic mass between the main wire and the clamping sleeve of the connector before the clamping action is executed so that after clamping an elastic, pre-stressed, vibration-dampening zone is created.
