  • Publication number: 20230017355
Abstract: A cooling device with a heat exchanger through which air flows and at least one fan arranged on the heat exchanger, forming a radial gap for generating airflow through the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger having a front face through which air flows which points toward the fan and is covered in portions by the fan, so that the front face is divided into a first subface that is at least partially covered by the fan and a second subface that is free of the fan. The cooling device has a guide sleeve arranged between the heat exchanger and the fan so as to close the radial gap at least in portions, forms a flow channel leading from an air outlet of the fan to the first subface of the front face, fluidically connects the air outlet to the first subface, and fluidically separates the same from the second subface.

  • Patent number: 11460044
Abstract: A radial fan half-spiral housing has a pressure chamber extending in the circumferential direction about an axial intake opening (5) to a radial blow-out opening (31). The pressure chamber, as viewed in the circumferential direction, is subdivided into at least one beginning portion (7), one central portion (8), and one blow-out portion. The intake opening (5) determines a central axis of rotation for a fan wheel. An averaged half-spiral housing radius, as viewed about the axis of rotation (11), varies in the beginning portion (7), the center portion (8), and the blow-out portion (9). It reaches a maximum in the blow-out portion (9). The center portion (8) of the half-spiral housing radius is reduced in a region determining a maximum height H(?,z) of the half-spiral housing (1) compared to a logarithmic spiral radius (rlog).

  • Patent number: 10781829
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a flow-conducting grille for arranging on the suction side of a fan, with a grille web structure which comprises radial webs spaced apart in the circumferential direction and coaxial circumferential webs spaced apart in the radial direction, wherein the radial webs of at least one quadrant of the flow-conducting grille are curved in each case over their radial extension, viewed in the circumferential direction, towards a predetermined radial plane extending from a central axis of the flow conducting grille.

  • Patent number: 10328766
Abstract: A rooftop-mounted air-conditioning installation, in particular for the roof of a bus, has at least having a condenser unit and an evaporator unit. It has an air-flow duct with at least one air intake opening and one air discharge opening. A heat exchanger and a radial fan are arranged in the air-flow duct between the air intake opening and the air discharge opening. An axis of rotation of a fan wheel of the radial fan is oriented parallel to an air flow main direction that extends through the air-flow duct from the at least one air intake opening through the heat exchanger to the radial fan.
