  • Publication number: 20170101005
Abstract: A drive unit, in particular for an industrial transport vehicle, is at least comprised of a gearbox with at least one gear stage, a drive motor and a running wheel. To minimize the costs when there are substantially greater loads on the running wheel, there are provisions in accordance with the invention for the running wheel to be directly connected to a bevel gear on the output side, which is supported by a first bearing element for accommodating the load and by a second bearing element that serves to provide stabilization and that is supported in the gearbox . The first bearing element bears all of the loads here, whereas the second bearing element with substantially smaller dimensions merely has to cushion tilting forces that arise.

  • Patent number: 7841435
Abstract: A transmission (1), preferably for a front axle of a floor transport vehicle (100), comprises at least one transmission stage, a drive sprocket (6), a hollow gear (4, 203), and a housing, wherein the drive sprocket (6) and the hollow gear (4, 203) each have a rotation axis, which axes are parallel and disposed offset from each other. A drive wheel (111) is connected in torque-proof fashion with the hollow gear and housing (4, 203) and the drive sprocket (6) is coupled to a drive motor (25). The motor is mounted to the transmission (1) through a flange. Assembly and disassembly of the transmission is simplified by the relatively few component parts of the transmission. Further, vehicle loads are efficiently transferred to the drive wheel by supporting the hollow gear (4, 203) rotatably upon a fixed support element (13) forming a section of the housing, wherein the support element (13) is disposed coaxial with the rotation axis of the hollow gear (4, 203).

  • Publication number: 20070295542
Abstract: An electric steering apparatus, particularly suited for floor transport vehicles, comprises a housing, a steering motor operably connected to a reduction gear stage wherein the reduction gear stage is operably connected to rotating bearing assembly coupled in a torque-proof manner to a steerable running wheel. Precise steering motion with continuous control capability is provided by translating the drive motor output through the reduction gear stage to the rotating bearing assembly. Finer and more precise steering motion than that afforded by conventional hydraulically actuated steering units is thus provided. Steering motion is also advantageously continuously controllable through rotation angle sensors integral to the rotating bearing assembly. A three stage planetary reduction gear systems coupled to a rotating bearing assembly advantageously transfers large torques, so that large loads may be accommodated while maintaining fine steering control.

  • Patent number: 6854555
Abstract: A single-wheel driving mechanism for floor transport vehicles is comprised of a gearing housing with at least one gear stage, a flanged-on drive motor, and a driven running wheel. For obtaining the smallest possible installation space or achieving a simplified installation or removal of the single-wheel driving mechanism, in conjunction with high transmission of force at the same time, the running wheel is directly connected with torsional strength with a gear of the transmission, and the gear of the transmission is rotatably supported on a support element.
