    Abstract: A work light includes a generally cylindrical, at least partly transparent housing, a first light source which is an elongated, rodlike bulb disposed within the housing, a second light source which is a narrow beam bulb disposed within the housing at one end face thereof, a connection of the first light source to an alternating current electrical main and a hangar hook projecting externally from the housing. Circuitry is also provided for converting alternating current of a first frequency from the main into direct current, for converting the direct current into alternating current of a second frequency substantially higher than the first frequency, and for selectively operating the first light source and the second light source with the alternating current of a second frequency.
