  • Patent number: 10026246
Abstract: An access control system detects movement at a door to which a user has been granted access. A travel time is determined that describes how long the user is expected to need to travel between that door and another door in the area. After the travel time has elapsed, the other door is unlocked. Thus, the user can travel to and open the other door without having to present a credential for the other door.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 11, 2014
Date of Patent: July 17, 2018
    Assignee: INVENTIO AG
Inventors: Paul Friedli, Lukas Finschi, Josef Schwarzentruber
  • Patent number: 9856109
Abstract: A user can input commands into a lock by gesturing on a surface of the lock. The gesture is made by sliding a finger over multiple buttons on the lock surface. The lock recognizes the gesture based on the buttons touched by the sliding finger and the order in which they were touched. The lock associates a particular command with the recognized gesture.

  • Patent number: 9129452
Abstract: An access control system includes at least one door fitting to a secured area of a building and at least one identification code on a mobile data carrier. The identification code is read by a read device of a door fitting. If the read-in identification code is valid, access is granted to the area secured by the door fitting. An authorization code is transmitted from a processor via at least one communication connection to a central processor. A verification step is carried out to determine whether the transmitted authorization code corresponds to a valid authorization code for an area profile. Upon successful verification of the transmitted authorization code, write and read rights for the area profile are released to the processor transmitting the authorization code. The released area profile is changed by the processor via a communication connection.

  • Patent number: 8857570
Abstract: A method, a computer-readable data storage device and a system include determining a starting floor level in a building based on a received movement signal for a building door in the building, identifying a lighting unit along a path in the starting level floor between the building door and an elevator door on the starting floor level, and activating the identified lighting unit. The movement signal can be based upon a building door on the starting floor has been opened for a person and in response sending an elevator cabin to the elevator door at the starting floor to receive the person.

  • Publication number: 20140027208
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an elevator system in a building including a plurality of floor levels (1, 1?, 1?), at least one elevator door (3, 3?, 3?) and at least one building door (4, 4?, 4?, 5, 5?, 5?) and at least one elevator control (10) which controls at least one elevator drive (11) to move at least one elevator car (8), wherein an opening and/or closing of a building door (4, 4?, 4?, 5, 5?, 5?) causes at least one starting door signal (S1) to be generated and at least one elevator car (8) is ascertained for the starting door signal (S1).

  • Patent number: 6857507
Abstract: A multi-deck cage has a deck floor with a ramp drive for fine positioning. The deck floor is configured as a ramp rotatable about a rotary axle and is movable up and down by means of actuators of the ramp drive. A sensor, which locates a mark arranged at a story sill, is arranged at a deck sill which is constructed as part of the deck floor. If the sensor has, at a stopping of the multi-deck cage at the story, travelled past the mark, the ramp drive is activated in a direction opposite to the travel direction of the multi-deck cage past the story stop until the sensor and the mark are disposed at the same level.
