Patent number: 10029262Abstract: A method of fragmenting and/or weakening of material is provided that utilizes high voltage discharges. The material is together with a process liquid introduced into a process area, in which two electrodes face each other at a distance, and is arranged therein in such a manner that the area between the two electrodes is filled with the material and process liquid. Between the two electrodes high voltage discharges are generated for fragmenting or weakening of the material. During the fragmenting or weakening, respectively, of the material, process liquid is discharged from the process area and process liquid is fed into the process area. The process liquid which is fed has a lower electrical conductivity than the process liquid which is discharged.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2011Date of Patent: July 24, 2018Assignee: selFrag AGInventors: Reinhard Muller-Siebert, Heiko Feitkenhauer, Alexander Weh, Fabrice Monti Di Sopra, Peter Hoppe, Josef Singer, Harald Giese, Klaus Leber

Publication number: 20150069153Abstract: The invention concerns a method of fragmenting and/or weakening of material by means of high voltage discharges. The material is together with a process liquid introduced into a process area, in which two electrodes face each other at a distance, and is arranged therein in such a manner that the area between the two electrodes is filled with material and process liquid. Between the two electrodes high voltage discharges are generated for fragmenting or weakening, respectively, of the material. According to the invention, during the fragmenting or weakening, respectively, of the material, process liquid is discharged from the process area and process liquid is fed into the process area. The process liquid which is fed has a lower electrical conductivity than the process liquid which is discharged.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 10, 2011Publication date: March 12, 2015Applicant: selFrag AGInventors: Helena Ahlqvist Jeanneret, Reinhard Muller-Siebert, Heiko Feitkenhauer, Alexander Weh, Fabrice Monti Di Sopra, Peter Hoppe, Josef Singer, Harald Giese, Klaus Leber

Apparatus and method for operating and constructing an optical TDM/TDMA system having enhanced range
Patent number: 5606555Abstract: In conventional TDM/TDMA systems the signal blocks sent in TDMA mode from a detached unit to a central station contain a control data part whose length is derived from the signal running time in the opposite direction in TDMA mode from the central station to the detached unit at the largest distance therefrom. Any range enhancement is such a known system then leads to a longer control data part, and thus to a diminished transmission capacity for useful signals. To achieve a range enhancement without diminishing the transmission capacity, a TDM/TDMA system and a method for constructing and operating such a system are disclosed wherein, the detached units are divided into range zones and, except for the units at the largest distance from the central station, the detached units of respective range zones contain an additional, further delay, so that the transmission cycle of the detached units begins earlier than the reception cycle.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 1995Date of Patent: February 25, 1997Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventor: Josef Singer
