  • Patent number: 7637138
Abstract: The invention concerns a multistage press, at which within the machine-mounted clamping plate (1), an insert (3) is arranged which can alternatingly be moved in the direction towards the press plunger (2) and away from it. The insert (3) is moved up and down by a cam drive actuated by the press main drive with lifting and lowering cams (5), whose cam tracks (8a, 8b) are traced by lifting rollers (6) and lowering rollers (7) under compressive prestress. Such a multistage press can be operated with a high number of strokes per minute and has, at the same time, an excellent precision of the stroke movement.

  • Publication number: 20090253860
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for the preparation of emulsifiers E1 which are obtained by (a) reacting a polyol with propylene oxide or a mixture of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide, to give an intermediate Z1, (b) reacting the intermediate Z1 with epichlorohydrin, forming an intermediate Z2, (c) reacting the intermediate Z2 with an adduct of ethylene oxide or a mixture of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide, with a C1-C22 monoalcohol, provided that on average at least one epoxide function of the intermediate Z2 is reacted and on average at least one epoxide function originating from the intermediate Z2 is retained. Compounds E1 are suitable as emulsifiers for preparing aqueous emulsions or dispersions of epoxy resins.

  • Patent number: 6283489
Abstract: An apparatus for reducing the sway of a trailer includes a first portion that is attached to a towing vehicle at any of several locations including an end portion of a receiver hitch, a bumper, a frame or body member, or by the use of a modified type of a drawbar having an offset member. A second portion is attached to a trailer at any of several locations including to a ball coupler by the use of an adapter plate, a modified ball coupler bracket, or directly to a tongue of the trailer. Intermediate the first and second portion at least one damper is disposed, preferably a hydraulic damper of the type that is generally used to form an automobile steering damper. The damper preferably includes spherical type bearings at each end thereof to allow for limited articulation about a point. A geometric arrangement (i.e., an angle) for the damper is provided whereby a sufficient dampening force is experienced the moment the trailer begins to deviate from normal.

  • Patent number: 4787345
Abstract: In an arrangement for the relative angular position change of two shafts drivingly connected with each other, especially between a crankshaft supported in an engine housing of an internal combustion engine and a cam shaft, the cam shaft is equipped with a driving gear which is angularly movably arranged relative to the cam shaft by way of an axially displaceable coupling member. An actuating mechanism for the axial displacement of the coupling member for an angular position change of the cam shaft relative to the driving gear and therewith to the crankshaft is arranged structurally separate from the cam shaft at a detachable engine housing cover. The actuating mechanism includes a hydraulically double-acting piston in a cylinder. The piston is detachably connected with a coupling rod whereby the coupling rod, in its turn, cooperates with the coupling member by way of a joint having three degrees of freedom.
