  • Patent number: 11590739
Abstract: A sealing device has a waterproofing layer, a functional layer, and an adhesive layer coated on and at least partially covering the first major surface of the waterproofing layer opposite the side of the functional layer. Also, a method produces a sealing device, a method waterproofs a substrate, and the use of the sealing device seals lapped joints formed between overlapping portions of waterproofing membranes and patches breaches in waterproofing membranes.

  • Publication number: 20200216722
Abstract: An adhesive composition and use thereof for providing self-healing adhered roofing systems. The adhesive composition includes at least one rubber component, at least one organic solvent, and 12.5-40 wt.-% of at least one powdered superabsorber polymer, based on the total weight of the adhesive composition. Further, a self-healing membrane composite, to a method for forming a self-healing adhered roofing system, to a self-healing adhered roofing system and to use of at least one powdered superabsorber polymer in an adhesive for providing a self-healing adhered roofing system.

  • Publication number: 20160010456
Abstract: A method is disclosed for producing a tubbing made of concrete for lining a tunnel, particularly a traffic tunnel, wherein the tubbing has a convexly curved outer surface and a concavely curved inner surface opposite the outer surface. The method can include: a) placing a membrane having a dispersion adhesive layer and a thermoplastic sealing layer onto the outer surface and further onto at least one of the sides of the outer side surfaces of the tubbing facing the outer surface, wherein the dispersion adhesive layer faces the tubbing; b) supplying heat, thus partially melting the dispersion adhesive layer; and c) cooling the dispersion adhesive layer, thus forming an adhesive bond between membrane and the tubbing.

  • Publication number: 20150361793
Abstract: The core of the invention is a method for producing a tubbing of concrete for jacketing a tunnel, in particular a traffic tunnel, wherein the tubbing has a convexly curved outer surface and a concavely curved inner surface opposite the outer surface, comprising the steps a) placing a membrane comprising a hot-melt adhesive layer and a thermoplastic sealing layer on the outer surface and, furthermore, on all sides of the outer side surfaces of the tubbing, which sides face the outer surface, wherein the hot-melt adhesive layer faces the tubbing; b) supplying heat under the partial melting of the hot-melt adhesive layer; and c) cooling the hot-melt adhesive layer with formation of an adhesive composite between membrane and the tubbing.

  • Patent number: 8366849
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for lining a container, especially a reservoir, a tank or a basin in a water-tight manner. In order to avoid possible leakages and/or contaminations, the walls of the large container are provided with hook-and-loop-type fastening elements. Sealing webs are attached to these fastening elements by means of fastening elements.
