  • Patent number: 7133694
Abstract: Method and apparatus for efficient transmission of bits of voice information through a mobile radio network, which transmission saves transmission capacities and which makes it possible to mix-in announcements or to mix the bits of speech information of a number of callers during a conference call, is enabled such that its of voice information, dependent on the event, are converted in the mobile radio network into a transcoded format, are further processed, are converted into a non-transcoded format and are transmitted in a non-transcoded format.

  • Publication number: 20050033570
Abstract: Efficient adjustment of tones and announcements are equalized in the conversation of a mobile radio telephone subscriber by a common air interface (4) enabling an exchange to occur between several transmission modes characterized by different compression of said conversation. This is achieved by means of a device and a method for adjusting an acoustic sequence (11; 12; 13; 14; 15; 16; 17; 18) in the speech channel of a common air interface (4) for a subscriber (2) of a mobile radio telephone network (4, 3, 5). According to the invention, a transmission mode (A; B; C) which is to be used on the speech channel can be selected (3,5) from several transmission modes defined by differing degrees of compression of speech sequences (8) of the subscriber (2) on the common air interface. An adjustable acoustic sequence is stored in several compression data sets (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) whose compression respectively corresponds to the compression of at least one of the transmission modes (A; B; C:).

  • Patent number: 6594353
Abstract: A method and system for connecting subscribers of a telecommunication network in a switching center which includes an input for receiving signaled data, a means for forming and processing connection-related data from the data received at the input side, and a means for signaling the processed data at the output thereof, wherein there is provided a means for the conversion of connection-related data into neutral parameters with the aid of a predetermined parameter list, a means for processing there neutral parameters independent of the original format of the connection-related data, and a means for the back-conversion of the processed neutral parameters into connection-related data with the aid of the parameter list in order to send these back-converted data to the output after a neutral evaluation or, respectively, modification.

  • Patent number: 6151504
Abstract: A telecommunication system whereby a switching and control point controls the useful channels via at least one radio transmission unit which has a useful channel connection message for a useful channel connection communicated to it from the switching center. The useful channel connection message contains at least a switching point address and a channel address for the useful channel identification that were previously offered by the switching center. The switching and control point interprets the useful channel connection message and decides whether connection control is initiated via the radio transmission unit in the radio communication network and a useful channel connection between communication terminal equipment is conducted via the radio transmission unit for the transmission of useful information in the identified useful channel.
