  • Publication number: 20110041120
Abstract: A system is described herein that predicts defects in a portion of code of an application that is configured to execute on a computing device. Versions of code are analyzed to locate change bursts, which are alterations to at least one portion of code over time-related events. If a change burst is identified, defects are predicted with respect to the code based at least in part upon the identified change burst.

  • Patent number: 7260449
Abstract: In a device for conveying and positioning structural elements at a conveying track, a structural element is brought into pending state at the conveying track and the conveying track is tilted in conveying direction so that the structural element slides downwards to approach a target point. The position of the structural element is detected. The device further includes a control unit wherein the position of the structural element is detected within a predetermined range of the target point to be reached, and a time, at which the conveying track is tilted and re-tilted at a predetermined angular speed by a predetermined angle, is determined by using a calculation and control algorithm, so that the structural element is intercepted.

  • Patent number: 6877129
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for measuring the receiver-side bit error rate of the transmission path of a DVB transmission system in which the data stream to be transmitted is channel-coded on the transmitter side by a Reed-Solomon coder and on the receiver side channel-decoder by a corresponding Reed-Solomon decoder. According to the method, a test data stream is fed in on the transmitter side and the Reed-Solomon coder is switched off so that the receiver-side decoder recognizes a data stream with non-correctable errors and allows the same to reach the output uncorrected. The bit error rate is then determined from the uncorrected test data stream.

  • Patent number: 6609874
Abstract: A handler for transporting planar substrates, in particular wafers, used in the semiconductor industry, between at least two stations. The handler includes a movable flat support arm for receiving a substrate and means for defining the location of the substrate in the area of a predetermined point on the support arm. A vibration generator for generating a longitudinal ultrasonic vibration is provided, that the vibration generator interacts with the support arm in such a way that a substantially stationary vibration with at least one antinode can be set on the flat support arm, which permits a levitation of a substrate placed thereon. A means for defining the location of the substrate provide a lateral positioning exclusively by an interaction with the edge area of a substrate.

  • Patent number: 4400171
Abstract: In this injection instrument, the piston pump (A) is connected to a drive motor (B), of which the working piston (5), supported on a working spring (2), is arranged displaceably in a cylindrical bore (6) of the motor housing (1). A pressure chamber (7) which has supply devices (3, 8) and discharge devices for the pressure medium is formed in the bore (6). The working spring (2) is held in a tensioned position by a pawl (10) supported by a bolt (13), the bolt (13) being supported on an operating element (C).So that injection can be initiated only when the nozzle (23) is pressed onto the subject, the bolt (13) is connected rigidly to the operating element (C), and its free end is arranged displaceably in the motor housing (1).

Abstract: In this injection instrument, the piston pump (A) is connected to a drive motor (B), of which the working piston (5) supported on a working spring (2) is arranged displaceably in a cylindrical bore (6) of the motor housing (1). A pressure chamber (7) which has supply devices (3, 8) and discharge devices (4, 9) for pressure medium is formed in the bore (6).To ensure that the pressure medium cannot be simultaneously supplied to and discharged from the pressure chamber (7), there is a control shaft (37) which is assigned to valves (8 and 9). The control shaft (37) is provided with a lever (38) and has segment-like recesses (39, 40) which interrupt the engagement of the valves (8, 9) with the control shaft (37). The recesses (39, 40) are arranged on the control shaft (37) so that the valves are not engaged simultaneously with the control shaft (37).

  • Patent number: 4301795
Abstract: In a vaccination gun provided with a piston pump for the vaccine and a gas-propelled motor for the vaccine pump, the drive motor is arranged with one end thereof coupled to the vaccine pump. In the handle grip of the vaccination gun, a coupler connects a propellant gas cylinder, through a trigger, or locking valve, to the drive motor. In order to assure that the injection pressure of the propellant gas remains between about 270 and 300 bar regardless of the pressure in the cylinder, there is provided a pressure regulation chamber between the coupler and the locking valve, which chamber is provided with a flap valve coupled to a hollow shaft. The shaft moves within a cylindrical portion of the chamber and is provided with radial borings for permitting the propellant gas to pass between the main part of the chamber and the cylindrical portion thereof.
