Abstract: A swivelling snaphook is provided having a retainer rotatably connected with a hook member. The retainer includes a receptacle, a base bar with opposing ends, and two converging bars having opposite ends with one of the opposite ends of each converging bar being joined to the receptacle and the other of the opposite ends joined to a different one of the opposing ends of the base bar. The receptacle includes a tapered orifice extending therethrough. The receptacle also includes at least one slit formed therein. The hook member includes a hook body and an insertion member for engaging the receptacle in the retainer.

Abstract: A plastic fastener comprising a body having two members that define an upper face and a lower face, means for securing the fastener to a workpiece, and means for adjustably securing the strap to the fastener. The adjustably securing means comprises first and second cross-members fixed between and connecting the side members, the first cross-member overlapping the second cross-member to define a strap channel which forms an acute angle with the bottom surface of the second cross-member.

Abstract: A two piece flat, low-profile separable fastener comprising a clasp and a receptacle, the clasp comprising a base and a rigid tongue having a release tab with a first shoulder that is a first stop means protruding therefrom; the receptacle comprising a body that defines a cavity and an aperture on an upper surface of said receptacle, the aperture having a second shoulder that is a second stop means disposed for cooperative engagement with said first stop means, means for urging said release tab into said aperture such that said first and second stop means abut one another and said receptacle and clasp are engaged, and means for releasing the engagement so that the receptacle and clasp may be separated. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention the fastener is in the form of a buckle and the means for urging the first and second stop means into abutment are located in the receptacle portion of the buckle.

Abstract: A fastener for releasably clamping cords which includes a housing having a cavity therein and a movable element disposed in said cavity defining one or two cord passages and further including a spring attached to the housing so that the passage is restricted by the movable element.
