  • Patent number: 11964375
Abstract: A multi-speed, power-driven tool may include a transmission mechanism that transmits power from a motor to an output device. A speed selection mechanism may be coupled to the transmission mechanism, to control a speed reduction through the transmission mechanism, and an output speed of the tool. The transmission mechanism may employ a compound, stepped, planetary gear assembly, to provide for an axially compact arrangement of transmission mechanism components, to reduce an axial length of the tool. The speed selection mechanism may employ a multi-staged grounding device, corresponding to the reduced axial length of the transmission mechanism.

  • Patent number: 11813981
Abstract: A selectable vehicle profile for an electrified vehicle (EV) may be communicated to a vehicle controller to modify vehicle acceleration, generate simulated engine sounds, customize the look and feel of a vehicle instrument cluster/panel display and/or human-machine interface(s) (HMI) (including gages, menus, displays, colors etc.), control transmission simulated shift schedule and feel, control active suspension/ride control, and similar features so that the EV operates to provide a driving experience similar to a previously profiled vehicle, such as a non-electrified vehicle. Vehicle profiles may be generated by an OEM or after-market supplier based on actual measurements and/or specifications associated with operation of a particular non-electrified vehicle. The vehicle profile may be licensed for download to the EV, and/or made available through a subscription service, for example.

  • Publication number: 20220096873
Abstract: Cancer imaging methods and cancer treatment methods using thermotherapy and drug delivery are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the temperature of heated tissue is determined from radio-frequency data from an ultrasound transducer based upon a change in backscattered energy of acoustic harmonics. In another embodiment, a plurality of nanocarriers containing an anti-tumor medication are administered to a patient, and are excited in a first non-thermal ultrasound mode and/or a second thermal ultrasound mode using an ultrasound source. In yet another embodiment, a plurality of nanoparticles are administered to a patient, then at least some of the nanoparticles are heated along with tissue at a site of a tumor, and a photoacoustic imaging unit is used to determine a temperature of the heated tissue at the site of the tumor.

  • Patent number: 11290489
Abstract: A computing system performs adaptive clustering of machines (e.g., computing devices) and/or machine users in an organization for attack surface reduction (ASR) responsively to event feedback including system-based exclusion events and user-based requests for exclusion. The cluster adaptation may be applied to conventional vector-quantization clustering algorithms, for example K-Means, expectation-maximization (EM) clustering, or affinity clustering, to provide adaptable clusters of machines or users. The adaptation enables aggregation or disaggregation of endpoints into clusters to minimize negative business impacts on the organization while maximizing security in view of changes in the organization that occur dynamically such as varying roles for users, new applications and updates being released, and the like.

Some such embodiments include performing a recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) and, optionally, a second isothermal amplification reaction. In some embodiments, the second isothermal amplification reaction includes loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP). In some embodiments, the second isothermal amplification reaction is performed in conjunction with the RPA. In some embodiments, the second isothermal amplification reaction is performed on amplification products of the RPA. Some embodiments also include detecting the presence of amplification products by measuring a modulation of an electoral signal such as impedance.

  • Patent number: 10719818
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating proposed budget amounts by a budget tool are provided. A budget system identifies a budget category for a user. Information associated with one or more payees of the user and payment history information associated with one or more payments made to a payee included in the one or more payees is obtained from a bill payment system. Based at least in part on the obtained information, the payee is identified by the budget system as a budget payee associated with the budget category. Based at least in part on the identified payment history information, a proposed budget amount for the budget payee is calculated. A presentation is generated that includes an indication of the budget category, an indication of the budget payee, and an indication of the proposed budget amount. The generated presentation is transmitted by the budget system for display to the user.

  • Publication number: 20200028871
Abstract: Features of the present disclosure solve the above-identified problem by implementing user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA) system to group one or more computer machines into different clusters based on monitored behavior of the one or more computer machines. Specifically, a network device (e.g., administrator computer system) may monitor the activity of the one or more computer machines for a predetermined time period in order to identify the applications that the computer machines utilize. Based on the clustering and the identifying, the network device may automatically apply different access control policies for different clusters of machines and review those access control policies against future behavior periodically. By clustering machines based on usage behavior patterns and automatically recommending a rule set for deployment, the UEBA system may reduce potential points of failure for cybersecurity breaches.
