  • Publication number: 20040167867
Abstract: An application program interface (API) embodied on one or more computer readable media, comprising a first group of services related to integrating content repositories into virtual content repositories (VCRs), a second group of services related to manipulating information in VCRs, a third group of services related to searching VCRs, a forth group of services related to configuring VCRs, and wherein the application program interface is compatible with a content repository service provider interface (SPI).

  • Publication number: 20040168084
Abstract: A method for integrating a plurality of content repositories into a virtual content repository (VCR), comprising providing credential information to each one of said plurality of content repositories, receiving authorization information from each one of said plurality of content repositories, wherein the authorization information indicates whether or not an authorization procedure succeeded, integrating into the VCR each one of said plurality of content repositories whose authorization information indicates successful authorization, and wherein each one of said plurality of content repositories exposes a first set of services to enable its integration into the VCR.

  • Patent number: 5644023
Abstract: A process comprising:(a) introducing a mixture comprising one or more alpha-olefins, carbon monoxide, and, optionally, one or more dienes into a reaction zone under polymerization conditions;(b) contacting the mixture with a catalyst prepared by a process comprising:(i) providing a transition metal in the zero valence state adsorbed on a support;(ii) reacting the supported metal with an oxidant to form a supported compound wherein the metal has a positive valence;(iii) ligating the supported compound with a ligand; and(c) introducing a reoxidant into the reaction zone to maintain the positive valence of the metal.

  • Patent number: 5113133
Abstract: A probe apparatus that permits high speed measurement of electrical parameters of a printed circuit board. The probe makes a soft landing upon the circuit board surface, and is laterally constrained to prevent damaging side movements. The probe is both accurate and non-injurious to the surface of a circuit board under test. A recoil mechanism and the damping action of a dashpot control the impact of the probe upon the printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 4641773
Abstract: In a positioning guide for an ultrasonic stylus disposed in a scribing head, a hub surrounds the stylus and is secured to the stylus near its working tip. A surrounding retainer is secured to the housing of the moveable scribing head. Radial spokes secure the hub to the surrounding retainer, thereby providing a high degree of lateral rigidity and longitudinal compliance for the working tip of the stylus.

  • Patent number: 4324396
Abstract: In apparatus for separating and feeding sheets, which includes a sheet feeding deck, a sheet separating stone and structure for carrying the stone in overhanging relationship with respect to the deck. There is provided an improvement for controlling the height of the stone above the deck. The improvement includes a movable frame connected to the stone carrying structure, a manually rotatable shaft connected so as to threadably engage the frame for moving the same to move the stone to a selected height above said deck, and apparatus for permitting the shaft to be pushed, without rotating the same, for raising the stone above the selected height.

  • Patent number: 4170350
Abstract: A noise and impact reduction arrangement for a mail handling system wherein successive mail pieces of varying thicknesses may be fed to and through a mail processing work station in an efficient and rapid manner. The arrangement includes a feed assembly which is associated with the work station and which is adapted to be yieldably biased to a normal operative position and to be deflected away from said position to varying extents depending on the thickness of the various mail pieces that are successively fed through said station. Such deflection away from said normal position is readily permitted but a drag or braking force is applied to the feed assembly during its return movement towards said normal position so as to greatly reduce the severe arresting noise and shock that would otherwise be generated by the feed assembly reaching its said normal position.

  • Patent number: 4084242
Abstract: An electronic weighing scale for determining the postage value of weighed articles. The scale features easily accessible electronics for a postal rate table in stored memory. Because the postal rates on packages change with a fair amount of periodicity, the stored memory electronics containing the postal rates require frequent replacement. This replacement is accomplished easily by means of the invention. The stored memory is on an easily removable chip disposed on an IC board. The IC board is secured to a pull-out draw on a side of the scale housing.
