  • Publication number: 20040079212
Abstract: A mandreled tube punch includes a cantilevered mandrel and an arbor housing for securing the cantilevered mandrel. The cantilevered mandrel has a bore longitudinally disposed therethrough and the mandrel is adapted to secure a workpiece, or tubular stock, to be punched. An evacuation apparatus in the form of a pushrod is disposed within the longitudinally disposed mandrel bore and is arranged for movement therein and removes punched material from the work area. The punching device further includes a punching means for punching the workpiece and includes a punch housing having an aperture that accepts the workpiece positioned on the mandrel. The punch assembly prevents the workpiece from becoming damaged as a result of punching operations and efficiently, effectively and safely removes punched material from the work area.

  • Patent number: 6156180
Abstract: An electrodeionization apparatus adapted to remove ions from a liquid, the apparatus having a cathode proximate a first end of the apparatus and an anode proximate the opposite end of the apparatus and having a plurality of alternating diluting compartments and concentrating compartments positioned between the cathode and the anode, the diluting and concentrating compartments defined by anion and cation permeable membranes, and ion exchange material positioned within the diluting compartments, the diluting compartments having therein a continuous phase of a first ion exchange material containing a dispersed phase of clusters of a second ion exchange material. The method of removing ions from a liquid in such an electrodeionization apparatus comprises passing an aqueous liquid to be purified through the diluting compartments in which the diluting compartments have the continuous phase of a first ion exchange material with the dispersed phase of a second ion exchange material.

  • Patent number: 5957339
Abstract: This invention provides an easy to carry unit that contains a water filtration and a water carbonation chamber. The water after filtration more easily absorbs CO.sub.2 and allows for a more readily provided source of filtered carbonated water. The unit utilizes off-the-shelf carbonation cartridges and has a simple hose attachment to a conventional home faucet.

  • Patent number: 5893822
Abstract: This invention involves a tapered vacuum bag sealer that can be used to seal conventional plastic bags and to vacuum canning jars or other food containers. The rear of the sealer housing has a connection for a PVC tube or other flexible tube that will extend to the jar or container being vacuumed to remove air therefrom. This rear connection avoids the necessity of the housing lid being opened before this vacuum procedure could be accomplished.

  • Patent number: 5845562
Abstract: A grill for cooking food is provided that has an inclined cooking surface with diagonally positioned ribs projecting therefrom. The ribs have a rounded elongated configuration that all point toward a liquid drain. The ribs have liquid flow channels there between to facilitate liquid flow down the incline into a collection vessel. The cooking surface is surrounded by a retaining wall for holding food in position during a cooking operation.

  • Patent number: 5699708
Abstract: The invention provides a punch press capable of impressing a plurality of holes or other changes in a workpiece. The central core piece of the punch press receives the workpiece and expands until it touches the inner walls of the workpiece. This holds the workpiece in place and prevents any workpiece movement or distortions in the holes formed because of movement of the workpiece. Hydraulic cylinders impel the plurality of punches toward the workpiece at substantially the same pressure and time.

  • Patent number: 4790744
Abstract: This invention relates to a burner with low emission of polluting gases, comprising, in a conduit, an injector of fluid fuel which creates in the conduit, supplied with combustion-supporting air heated in an exchanger, a fuel/air mixture. The latter burns, creating a flame which clings to a stabilizer constituted for example by a hollow piece, of V-section, obturating a central part of the cross-section of the conduit. Downstream of this stabilizer there is placed an obstacle causing a local reduction follwed by a sudden increase in the cross-section of the conduit in order to promote oxidation of the carbon monoxide.
