  • Publication number: 20210380567
Abstract: A composition of matter including two optionally substituted phenol or optionally substituted aniline units separated by a furan spacer has been prepared. In particular, the chemical structure has a novolac bridge between the central furan ring and the two attached optionally substituted phenol and/or optionally substituted aniline units. These compounds can be modified to be used in various polymer resins. This new structure reduces toxicity relative to BPA/F, makes use of renewable chemicals, and produces certain beneficial polymer properties.

  • Publication number: 20210286601
Abstract: Computer systems and methods are provided for compiling a computer program to run on a quantum processor comprising a plurality of qubits, qudits or quantum continuous variables. A compiler obtains the program in a unified language, that is effectively a classical language, as opposed to a quantum language, and performs code refactoring on all or a portion of the program to form a refactored code and converts the refactored code into a first code. The compiler compiles the first code into a second code comprising a plurality of data elements in one or more quantum data structures. The compiler converts the second code to a third code expressed in a quantum gate-level language in accordance with an instruction set and gate locality constraints of the target quantum processor.

  • Patent number: 11058948
Abstract: Machine learning is used to generate and update predictive models configured to predict the positions, orientations, or actions of various gameplay elements capable of being controlled by players of a network-based multiplayer game. A gaming server can send a trained predictive model to each player device actively involved in a gaming session. Those devices can use the predictive model to predict the positions and orientations of various gameplay elements, where the actual data will not be received for a period of time due to latency of transmission over at least one network connection. When the actual data is received, the game state and gameplay action can be corrected or initiated as appropriate, enabling the overall gameplay experience to be smoother and more enjoyable. The gameplay and prediction data can be analyzed to further train or improve the models.

  • Publication number: 20210208072
Abstract: Light detection devices and related methods are provided. The devices may comprise a reaction structure for containing a reaction solution with a relatively high or low pH and a plurality of reaction sites that generate light emissions. The devices may comprise a device base comprising a plurality of light sensors, device circuitry coupled to the light sensors, and a plurality of light guides that block excitation light but permit the light emissions to pass to a light sensor. The device base may also include a shield layer extending about each light guide between each light guide and the device circuitry, and a protection layer that is chemically inert with respect to the reaction solution extending about each light guide between each light guide and the shield layer. The protection layer prevents reaction solution that passes through the reaction structure and the light guide from interacting with the device circuitry.

  • Patent number: 10955465
Abstract: Disclosed herein are testing apparatus and methods to identify latent defects in IC devices based on capacitive coupling between bond wires. Bond wires may have latent defects that do not appear as hard shorts or hard opens at the time of testing, but may pose a high risk of developing into hard shorts or hard opens over time. A latent defect may form when two adjacent bond wires are disturbed to become close to each other. According to some embodiments, capacitive coupling between a pair of pins may be used to provide an indication of a near-short latent defect between bond wires connected to the pair of pins.

Abstract: A system is provided for selectively presenting a portion of an event to a user. The system includes a first device, a second device, and a network allowing communication between the first and the second device. An application at the first device displays a plurality of sub-events that characterize an event; receives an input from a user whereby the user selects a sub-event from the plurality of sub-events; sends a request to a second device, the request comprising information associated with the selected sub-event; receives media data from the second device whereby the media data represents the selected sub-event; and presents the received media data. An application at the second device receives the request from the first device, selects the media data that represents the selected sub-event from a database using the information associated with the selected sub-event, and sends the selected media data to the first device.
