  • Publication number: 20220047802
Abstract: Microplegia systems describe herein use syringe pumps that are controlled in a coordinated fashion to deliver cardioplegia medications during an open-heart surgery at the prescribed dosages and/or rates. The microplegia systems link the delivery rate of the syringe pumps with the delivery rate of the cardioplegia blood flow rate. A perfusionist can enter prescribed drug concentrations, desired ratios between drug and blood, and the expected dose for each phase of the myocardial protection scheme that will take place during the open-heart surgery.

  • Publication number: 20210056652
Abstract: A child services platform is provided which may be utilized by one or more caregivers in electronic data communication with one or more child welfare entities. The one or more caregivers may determine a set of at least one first parameters associated with one or more minor children and may record the set of at least one first parameters into an electronic database. Responsive to determining the set of at least one first parameters, the one or more child welfare entities may determine a set of at least one second parameters associated with the one or more caregivers and may record the set of at least one second parameters into the electronic database. The set of at least one first parameters and the set of at least one second parameters may characterize a relationship between the one or more minor children and the one or more caregivers.

  • Publication number: 20200399924
Abstract: This invention relates to a fencing system and method for assembling a fence panel. The fencing system comprises pickets, braces and rails which can be assembled into a fence panel. The fence panel can be assembled by inserting the pickets through the slots of the brace and the opening of the rails when the brace is in the unlocked position. The assembled fence panel can be locked into place by longitudinally driving the braces relative to their respective rails from the unlocked position to the locked position.

  • Patent number: 7756185
Abstract: A hardened pump laser comprises a hardened pump chamber that combines the functions of a conventional flash lamp and a conventional laser cavity flow tube. The hardened pump chamber comprises a hardened filter tube and electrodes. The electrodes are sealed to the hardened filter tube. A chamber in the hardened filter tube is filled with gas through the electrodes, then sealed. The hardened pump chamber performs the laser pumping function while further performing filtering and diffusion functions.

  • Patent number: 7546804
Abstract: An artillery charge includes a generally cylindrical body with a hollow core; propellant disposed in the body and first energetic material disposed in the hollow core; and a seal disposed over one end of the hollow core, the seal including second energetic material disposed therein. A laser igniter ignites the second energetic material in the seal, thereby providing more reliable ignition of the first energetic material and the propellant. The artillery charge reliably ignites using a lower powered laser than known charges.

  • Publication number: 20080280842
Abstract: The present invention provides fluorinated pyrrolo[2,3,d]pyrimidine nucleoside compounds which are inhibitors of RNA-dependent RNA viral polymerase. These compounds are inhibitors of RNA-dependent RNA viral replication and are useful for the treatment of RNA-dependent RNA viral infection. They are particularly useful as precursors to inhibitors of hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS5B polymerase, as precursors to inhibitors of HCV replication, and/or for the treatment of hepatitis C infection. The invention also describes pharmaceutical compositions containing such fluorinated pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine nucleoside alone or in combination with other agents active against RNA-dependent RNA viral infection, in particular HCV infection. Also disclosed are methods of inhibiting RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, inhibiting RNA-dependent RNA viral replication, and/or treating RNA-dependent RNA viral infection with the fluorinated pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine nucleoside of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 4950397
Abstract: Ion chromatograms are prepared with a chromatograph including a separation column and a conductivity measuring ion detection unit which are adapted to be selectively placed in communication with separate reservoirs for diluted and undiluted samples of a fluid to be analyzed. A control unit switches the reservoirs into communication with an eluent pump for displacing fluid samples through the detection unit in timed relationship such that the most concentrated ion is measured in the diluted sample prior to measurement by the detection unit of the last of the lesser concentrated ions. A pump having a controllable flow rate is connected to a mixing conduit through control valves which switch the flow to and from the reservoirs so that the reservoirs may be simultaneously filled with diluted and undiluted samples of fluid. The diluted sample may be prepared by mixing the undiluted fluid with the eluent.
