  • Publication number: 20220369628
Abstract: Provided according to embodiments of the invention are methods of disrupting, removing, and/or preventing biofilm formation on a surface. Such methods use compositions that include nanoparticles and/or microparticles that include an inert liquid and/or gas core surrounded by an enclosing substance. Further provided according to embodiments of the invention are methods for disrupting a biofilm to extract an analyte from a sample, methods of disrupting superficial dermal layers, and methods of disrupting, removing, and/or preventing biofilms in hydroponic systems, microbial fuel cells, and on agricultural products.

  • Patent number: 9733939
Abstract: A processor includes a processing unit including a storage module having stored thereon a physical reference list for storing identifications of physical registers that have been referenced by multiple logical registers, and a reclamation module for reclaiming physical registers to a free list based on a count of each of the physical registers on the physical reference list.

  • Patent number: 9370226
Abstract: A cane with grasping fingers. The cane includes a hollow shaft having a first end and a second end, a grasping mechanism within the first end of the shaft, and a release mechanism adjacent to the second end of the shaft. The release mechanism includes a handle, a trigger within the handle, and a release button. Pressing the release button extends the trigger beyond the handle and extends the grasping fingers beyond the first end of the shaft so that the grasping fingers are separated by a first distance. Squeezing the handle retracts the grasping fingers and reduces the distance between the grasping fingers to a second distance less than the first distance. Squeezing the handle so that the grasping fingers are fully retracted into the first end of the shaft results in the trigger and the grasping mechanism being locked into place until the release button is pressed again.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 30, 2015
Date of Patent: June 21, 2016
    Assignee: Snapper Cane, LLC
Inventors: Charles Minot Dole, Paul Joseph McMahon, Daniel Byrne
  • Patent number: 9182986
Abstract: An apparatus is described having an out-of-order instruction execution pipeline. The out-of-order execution pipeline has a first circuit and a second circuit. The first circuit is to hold a pointer to physical storage space where information is kept that cannot yet be confirmed as being free of potential dependencies on the information. The second circuit is to hold the pointer if the pointer existed in the first circuit when a non speculative region of program code ended and upon retirement of a following speculative overwriter instruction originally coded to overwrite the information.
