  • Patent number: 8911247
Abstract: An luminary fitting is provided for implementing quickly and easily connecting to an associated device, such as a lighting fixture, gasketed enclosure or wiring box. The luminary fitting includes an enclosure body having a mating face for connection with a selected wiring installation configuration and an opposed face connecting with the associated device. The opposed face includes a threaded wire way extending into the associated device. A sealing gasket is provided with the threaded wire way. A pressure equalization vent is provided with the enclosure body for preventing pressure buildup, venting of any moisture that condenses from ambient air inside the luminary, gasketed enclosure, or wiring box, and for protecting against liquid ingress in the associated device.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: December 16, 2014
Assignee: A.L.P. Lighting & Ceiling Products, Inc.
Inventors: Sal Casas, Jesse Luc, Joseph A. Monaco, Sr., Ronald L. Richardson

  • Patent number: 8233701
Abstract: Approaches to three-dimensional (3D) data reconstruction are presented. The 3D data comprises 2D images. In some embodiments, the 2D images are directionally interpolated to generate directionally-interpolated 3D data. The directionally-interpolated 3D data are then segmented to generate segmented directionally-interpolated 3D data. The segmented directionally-interpolated 3D data is then meshed. In other embodiments, a 3D data set, which includes 2D flow images, is accessed. The accessed 2D flow images are then directionally interpolated to generate 2D intermediate flow images.

  • Publication number: 20060215760
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to systems, methods, and computer program products for optimally allocating a fixed number of bits among a plurality of multi-media data channels. The optimal number of bits is determined by preprocessing each channel to calculate complexity data, and then the complexity data is used to determine the optimal number of bits to assign to each channel. The optimal number of bits may be determined by a closed loop controller in communication with one or more channel encoders, and the multi-media channels may contain video data conforming to the MPEG2 video format.

  • Patent number: 4306156
Abstract: A primary power source in the form of a direct energy converter provides d.c. voltage to a d.c. to a.c. converter. This in turn provides energy to an a.c. motor. The motor with appropriate speed control drives a mechanical load. When the energy of the primary source is depleted, an auxiliary engine is automatically started. The engine drives a d.c. generator which now supplies energy to the d.c. to a.c. converter. In addition, the d.c. generator can recharge the primary source. The primary power source may also be charged by an external power source. A computer controls the elements or components of the system.
