  • Patent number: 7417188
Abstract: A raceway assembly according to the present invention is used in conjunction with a conventional equipment rack to route cables between and otherwise to or from equipment stored in the rack. Guide members project from a trough portion of the raceway and position cables routed through spaces between the guide members. Versions of the guide members have elastic edging providing soft surfaces to reduce cable wear and otherwise protect cables from potential damage and lessening of life span. Some of the edging is formed as a substantial portion of the thickness of the guide member to provide enhanced cushioning of the cables. Versions of the guide members can include a core portion of a rigid or pliable material. Those guide members with a pliable core can be readily bent to provide enhanced support and positioning of cables being held by the guide members.

  • Publication number: 20080126425
Abstract: In general, the present invention, and in various exemplary embodiments, provides a chemical management information system and methods of using the same. The chemical management system captures chemical use on an on-going and real-time basis regardless of the source of data. The chemical management system integrates chemical usage information by user input and from a plurality of sources. It also allows for the evaluation of a chemical in minutes rather than days, and further allows a user to submit this information to the governing body requiring the information in a simple step. In one embodiment, the chemical management system comprises a web-based use capture tool, a compliance tool, a safety database search tool, and a gap analysis tool.

  • Patent number: 7250220
Abstract: An improved component for use in a deposition chamber is constructed from ceramic zirconia and a stabilizing compound. The zirconia is preferably in a partially stabilized form and is coated with a metallic layer such as thermally sprayed aluminum. The surface of the zirconia is roughened to improve adhesion between the zirconia and the aluminum. Alternatively, an intermediate layer may be deposed between the zirconia and the metallic layer to improve the bonding between the layers. The coated zirconia component resists flaking when covered with materials that are being deposited in the deposition chamber and, thus, reduces the likelihood that devices being constructed in the deposition chamber will be contaminated by loose particles.

  • Patent number: 7236548
Abstract: Bit level, rather than symbol level, diversity combining is employed within a wireless communications receiver. Channel estimates and bit metrics are separately computed for signals received by different antenna elements. Bit metrics are calculated by determining a least squares cumulative difference between all bits within the received symbol and corresponding bits within constellation symbols as modified by the channel estimate. The separately-determined bit metrics are then combined for decoding. Performance improvements over both single antenna systems and multiple antenna systems with symbol level diversity combining are achieved.

  • Patent number: 7142578
Abstract: A method for a beam forming configuration is provided. A representation of a 3D polygon is formed from a plurality of blocks. The blocks are arranged according to a frequency, a time, and a space within the 3D polygon. Based on the frequency, the time, and the space of an electronic signal, one of the blocks is selected. An equation that is based on the block or to the block and the blocks relationship to one or more of the other blocks is used to form an output.

  • Patent number: 7010269
Abstract: A free-running sample rate converter and a large spanning, non-linear pre-equalizer are employed before a timing recovery loop within a wireless receiver chain, while forward and feedback equalization after the timing recovery loop (at and around the input of a sync detector) is also retained. A channel identifier produces a channel estimate from the PN511 training sequence within the received wireless signals, with the pre-equalizer employing the resulting channel estimate to equalize the received signals being passed to the timing recovery loop, improving the signal quality for carrier and timing recovery and decoding to increase the probability of successful decoding while enabling the use of fast tracking forward and feedback equalizers for decoding.

  • Publication number: 20040213356
Abstract: An electronic circuit for processing a digital signal may include a plurality of digital delay circuits, each configured to produce a delayed replica of the digital signal; a plurality of digital-to-analog converters, each configured to convert the digital signal or the delayed replica from one of the delay circuits into an analog signal; a plurality of analog gain circuits, each configured to adjust the analog signal from one of the digital-to-analog converters by a gain factor and each having an output; and an analog summer configured to sum the outputs of the analog gain circuits. The number of delay circuits and the magnitude of the delays and gains may be selected to cause the circuit to function as a band pass filter, a high pass filter, a low-pass filter, a notch filter, or any other type of filter. The circuit may be used in a broad variety of applications, including a transceiver (such as a subscriber station) and in ultra wideband applications.
