  • Patent number: 6790794
Abstract: Disclosed are cleaning sheets comprising an additive and perfume. The additive is preferably selected from the group consisting of wax, oil, and mixtures thereof. The cleaning sheets preferably have at least two regions, where the regions are distinguished by basis weight. In particular, the preferred cleaning sheets comprise one or more high basis weight regions having a basis weight of from about 30 to about 120 g/m2 and one or more low basis weight regions, wherein the low basis weight region(s) have a basis weight that is not more than about 80% of the basis weight of the high basis weight region(s). Also disclosed are cleaning sheets having substantial macroscopic three-dimensionality, in addition to having multiple basis weights. Optionally, the macroscopically three-dimensional cleaning sheets can comprise a scrim material, which when heated and then cooled, contracts so as to provide a macroscopic three-dimensional structure.

  • Publication number: 20040173785
Abstract: A partitioning device, including a center panel and at least one side panel, e.g., a left side panel and a right side panel, each side panel optionally folded onto the center panel in an overlaying relationship during use or storage. Each side panel may be folded away from the center panel during use if needed. Each center and side panel may include a stiffening member attached proximate upper and lower edges thereof. Straps may be attached to the center panel to affix the present partitioning device during use and additional straps may be attached to each of the side panels. Connectors may be attached to the straps. The center and at least one side panel may be reversibly configured in a folded, overlaying relationship. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure.

  • Publication number: 20030142126
Abstract: Collaboration space object model provides for a Place consisting of rooms. A room is made up of pages. Folders are used to organize pages. Members belong to rooms, and are those users authorized to access them. Place type controls the creation of a place, including how many rooms it has, for example. Room type controls the appearance and content of rooms. A form manages the display of data notes. A form can contain fields for containing data and employ scripts to process and compute data. A page is the basic vehicle for content. Content is created using an or importing content from an external source. A member is also a data note, and each place contains its own member directory. A place is created and managed from a client browser in on-line mode and in offline mode with respect to a replicated copy of the space. Room security is independently managed, and security and aesthetics characteristics of subrooms selectively inherited.

  • Patent number: 6561354
Abstract: Disclosed are cleaning sheets having substantial macroscopic three-dimensionality. Optionally, the macroscopically three-dimensional cleaning sheets can comprise a contractable material (e.g., a scrim material), which when heated and then cooled contracts so as to provide a macroscopic, three-dimensional structure. Macroscopic three-dimensionality is described in terms of “average peak-to-peak distance” and “surface topography index”, as well in terms of “average height differential”. Also disclosed are cleaning implements comprising a handle and the described cleaning sheets. Processes for the sheets, benefits of the processes, and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20030074756
Abstract: Adapter plates which can be used with a cleaning implement are provided. These adapter plates can be removably attached to a dry or wet cleaning implement in order to allow a consumer to use longer and/or larger sheets or pads without having to purchase a complete cleaning implement. These adapter plates may have elevational elements at the bottom surface to improve the efficiency of cleaning by creating pressure zones in the sheet or pad. These adapter plates may also have a scrubbing element secured at one edge of the plate for heavy stain removal.

  • Patent number: 4401036
Abstract: A table is provided for use in association with a bed including a base member, a tubular support column and a table top. The support column includes an upper tubular portion telescopically mounted over a lower tubular portion; a locking spring mechanism for maintaining upward tension against the upper portion; release means for overcoming the spring mechanism to permit lowering of the upper portion; and means to permit the table top to horizontally pivot a pre-determined amount relative to the support column and be locked in a fixed position. The table top is mounted to the support column, in cantilever fashion, and includes a mirror recessed in the table top.

  • Patent number: 3986144
Abstract: An ornamental ring having a flashing capacity controlled by a minute electrical circuit incorporating one or more light-emitting diodes which are confined in the gem-display region of the ring, is disclosed. A time delay, capacitor-resistor arrangement governs the activation and deactivation of a pair of transistors whose function is to cause the light-emitting diodes to alternately flash or blink in substantially identical intervals.

  • Patent number: 3975587
Abstract: This invention relates to a digital vocoder where speech is translated to a digital version thereof. An adaptive filter in the form of an N stage Itakura type cascade derives from the speech a prediction residual and N spectral parameter in the form of weighting coefficients of the filter. The pitch period, derived from the prediction residual, the voiced/unvoiced decision derived from the first of the weighting coefficients and the peak amplitude of a pitch pulse, and a digital signal representing filter gain, derived from the last of the weighting coefficients are multiplexed with each other and the N spectral parameters for transmission to a receiver. The receiver employs an excitation generator responsive to the pitch period, the gain signal and the voiced/unvoiced decision to produce an excitation signal to excite an N/2 cascade connected stage receive filter. Each stage of the receive filter operates on a time shared basis on an adjacent pair of the N spectral parameters.
