Publication number: 20190376412Abstract: A method of detecting the angular positions of blades of a rotor wheel of a turbine engine, the turbine engine having at least two rotor wheels driven by a common shaft, the first and second wheels comprising respective first and second numbers of blades regularly distributed around their circumferences. The method comprises detecting (200) the passage of each blade of the first wheel past a first sensor, detecting (210) the passage of each blade of the second wheel past a second sensor, calculating the time intervals between the passage of a blade of the first wheel and the passages of each of the blades of the second wheel, and determining (230) the relative angular position of each blade of the first wheel relative to the angular positions of the blades of the second wheel, the first number and the second number being distinct and mutually prime.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 6, 2019Publication date: December 12, 2019Applicant: Safran Aircraft EnginesInventors: Almeric Pierre Louis Garnier, Tony Alain Roger Joel Lhommeau, Lorris Michel Cognot, Thierry Poix, Alexandre Jean Joseph Salvi

Patent number: 9095396Abstract: A dental implant can include a shaft defining a longitudinal axis and having an apical end, a coronal end, and an exterior surface. A portion of the exterior surface can include a porous material. The dental implant can include at least one thread, including a non-porous material, having an interior surface and a bone-engaging surface. The interior surface can engage and wind around the exterior surface of the shaft and the bone-engaging surface can extend outwardly from the exterior surface of the shaft. The shaft can include one or more channels configured to communicate a flowable material, stored within the shaft, to the exterior surface. Each channel can include an opening at the exterior surface to release the flowable material. At least one channel can extend between a cavity of the shaft and the exterior surface and can optionally be angled toward the apical end.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2012Date of Patent: August 4, 2015Assignee: Zimmer Dental, Inc.Inventors: Michael Scott Collins, Jeffrey Bassett, Steven Pelote, Joseph A. Salvi, Shahram Zamani, Mojtaba Esfahani

Patent number: 5566055Abstract: An EMI/RFI shielded cover plate assembly for an electronics enclosure includes a cover plate having a major surface area with outwardly-projecting walls or flanges defining interface locations with the underlying enclosure. A shielding compound is provided across the entire cover plate including the walls or flanges. The shielding compound is disposed in a relatively thin layer across the major surface area of the cover plate for EMI/RFI shielding, and in a thicker layer at the interface locations to provide a gasket-like response for environmentally sealing the cover plate assembly to the underlying enclosure and for thermal transfer and electrical continuity. The shielding compound can be compression molded with the cover plate. The shielded cover plate assembly provides a simple and economical method for providing a EMI/RFI shield and a gasket from a single shielding compound.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 1995Date of Patent: October 15, 1996Assignee: Parker-Hannifin CorporationInventor: Joseph A.
