  • Patent number: 10457163
Abstract: A system for detecting an occupant in a vehicle seat that includes a sensing electrode located in a seat bottom of a vehicle seat. The system also includes a shield electrode located in the vehicle seat below the sensing electrode. A sensing circuit is operatively coupled to the sensing electrode and the shield electrode. A controller is operatively coupled to the sensing circuit, wherein the controller operates to configure the sensing circuit to apply current to the shield and sensing electrodes. The controller is configured to detect the presence of an object in the seat by comparing a measure of the quadrature component of the sensing current to a threshold wherein the measure is adjusted by an offset value that varies based on a value of a non-volatile counter.

  • Patent number: 5902076
Abstract: A magnetic based drill assembly comprising a support platform mounted to the magnetic base for attachment to a work piece includes a feed mechanism operatively connected to the platform for rectilinear movement between a fully retracted position and a fully extended position. The feed mechanism includes a splined collar slidably mounted to the splined arbor for movement relative to the splined arbor and for rotatably supporting a drive tool. The motor is mounted in a stationary position offset and substantially parallel to the feed mechanism to reduce overall height and weight of the drill assembly. As the splined arbor is located within a cylindrical feed arbor a liquid coolant can be directly injected on the drill tool and workpiece during operation of the drill assembly. Further, an electrical feed rate monitor provides a signal to the user to indicate the optimal feed rate of the drill tool.

  • Patent number: 5868998
Abstract: A method of fumigation which will destroy microorganisms in the environment of hatching and newly hatched poultry whereby a disinfecting solution such as hydrogen peroxide is applied into the environment by a microaerosol. The method significantly reduces the level of microorganisms in the environment and reduces the risk of post hatch transfer of potentially disease causing microorganisms, without adversely affecting the viability of the newly hatched poultry.
