Abstract: A method and a system for providing interaction between a host system and a plurality of web pages in a Wide Area Network are disclosed. The method includes receiving a request from a web page for information of a peripheral device present at the host system. The method further includes creating an iframe element of the web page. The iframe element includes a Uniform Resource Indicator (URI) of an actual script file for the web page. Further, the method includes extracting a serialized form of the request based on a navigation event corresponding to the iframe element of the web page. The navigation event is triggered by a web browser of the host system. The method further includes generating a response attribute corresponding to the request based on the serialized form of the request. Thereafter, the method includes providing the response attribute to the iframe element of the web page.

Abstract: A logic module receives a navigation request that includes an address identifying a resource stored at a remote server. The logic module determines whether the address is valid based on predetermined criteria. If the address is valid, the logic modifies the address to include values that indicate a device configuration of the user terminal. The logic then causes the address to be sent to the remote server. Upon receipt, the remote server retrieves and returns the resource to the user. The content of the resource is determined based on the indicators.

Abstract: A method for printing content from a web page viewed with a browser operating on a computer, the web page being delivered to the computer from a server, the content including text content and image content, and the browser accessing a print standard in performing the printing includes configuring computer executable instructions for execution on the computer to set a visibility parameter in the print standard for at least some of the content without accessing the server to thereby generate a modified print standard; interfacing the instructions with the browser; and providing a user interface for printing the web page from the browser using the modified print standard.
