    Abstract: A fluid conduit safety system which comprises valves at each end of the conduit which are connected by a cable. If the hose ruptures, the valves close preventing discharge of fluid from the fluid supply and discharge of fluid from the container being filled while at the same time the cable prevents the ends of the hose from whipping about and causing damage or injury. Another aspect of the invention relates to a method for stopping the flow of fluid through a conduit which fails which comprises the steps of providing a conduit with a valve at each end and means connecting the valves to each other and disposed in the conduit.
