Abstract: Disclosed are various approaches for incentivizing in-person interactions and customer engagement. These approaches can include obtaining, with a client device, a first indication of attendance of a user at an event. Then, the client device reports the first indication of the attendance of the user to a remote computing device. Later, the client device obtains an additional indication of the attendance of the user at the event and reports the second indication of the attendance of the user to the remote computing device. Meanwhile, the remote computing device can receive the first indication of attendance of a user at an event and the second indication of attendance of the user at the event. The remote computing device can calculate an amount of time that the user attended the event and an amount of reward points based at least in part on the amount of time that the user attended the event. The remote computing device can then award the reward points to the user account of the user.

Abstract: System and method for element locator recommendations for testing a UI application include: executing tests; monitoring tests and observing which commands are called by each test to generate monitored data, where the monitored data includes which tests were executed, element locators that were used in the tests, relevant commands that were called by each test and related to the element locators that were used in the tests, and information about the UI application during the test execution; storing the monitored data; analyzing the stored monitored data; producing a set of recommended element locators to be used in place of previously used element locators for which the elements were not found during the execution of the tests; and utilizing the set of recommended element locators to complete the testing of the UI application software.

Abstract: A medical chair includes a base, a seat section, and a leg rest pivotally mounted relative to the seat and adapted to move between an extended position and a retracted position. The chair further includes a scissor mechanism coupled to the leg rest to extend and contract the leg rest and an actuator mounted on one end relative to the seat section and having an extendible driving end coupled to the leg rest wherein when the extendible driving end extends the extendible driving end pivots the leg rest about the pivot axis and extends the scissor mechanism.

The top deck includes at least one deck scoop area on an underside thereof. A thickness of the top deck is reduced in the at least one deck scoop area to reduce influence of top deck deflection on ability of the lifting member to pass through the opening between the top and bottom decks.

Abstract: A medical chair includes a base, a seat, and a leg rest pivotally mounted relative to the seat and adapted to move between an extended position and a retracted position. The chair further includes a first actuator for tilting the seat with respect to the base, a second actuator for lifting the seat with respect to the base, and a leg rest actuator adapted to move the leg rest. The chair also includes a controller adapted to control the first and second actuators to move the seat between a first position and a second position such that the seat is both lifted and tilted at the same time as the seat moves from the first position to the second position, and wherein the controller is adapted to control the leg rest actuator such that the leg rest maintains a substantially constant orientation with respect to the floor.

The electrical braking assembly includes a driving assembly that moves to a first position and to a second positing that causes the linkage assembly to place the braking mechanism in the braked state and the released state. The linkage assembly is movable relative to the driving assembly to enable the braking mechanism to be manually actuated with the manual actuator.

Abstract: A patient support apparatus includes a base, a seat supported by the base and a backrest pivotable between an upright position and a reclined position. In one embodiment, a backrest support member is coupled to the backrest and is adapted to move between a stowed position in which the backrest support member does not support the backrest and a deployed position in which the backrest support member does support the backrest. Movement to the deployed position occurs in response to activation of an emergency control. In other embodiments, the base includes a portion that moves into an extended position underneath the backrest when the backrest is in the reclined position. Movement of the base portion to the extended position also occurs in response to activation of an emergency control.

Abstract: A patient support apparatus includes a frame, a stationary member mounted relative to the frame, a movable member having a pivot member rotatably mounting the movable member about the stationary member, and a fastener securing the pivot member to the stationary member. The patient support apparatus also includes a joint between the pivot member and the stationary member, which is configured to apply a tension force on the fastener.

Abstract: A method for additively manufacturing an article includes providing or obtaining a build material, directing a first energy beam at the build material to raise the temperature of the build material above a melting point of the build material, and thereafter withdrawing the first energy beam to allow the build material to solidify into a first layer. The method further includes directing a second energy beam at the first layer, wherein the second energy beam differs from the first energy beam in that the second energy beam is of insufficient energy to cause melting of the first layer of build material and after directing the second energy beam at the first layer, providing additional build material over the first layer. The second energy beam will have an effect of reducing or eliminating residual stresses of each build layer. The energy of the second energy beam can be controlled using a thermal or optical feedback loop.

Abstract: A patient support apparatus including a seat section, a backrest section that is movable relative to the seat section, and an arm supported relative to the seat section. The arm is adapted to move between a first position adjacent the seat section for use as an arm rest for a person sitting on the patient support apparatus to a raised second position adjacent the backrest section. The arm and the backrest section are coupled together when the arm is in the raised second position wherein the arm moves with the backrest section.

Abstract: The present invention is generally related to the analysis of chemical compositions of hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon blends. This method applies specifically to the problem of analyzing extremely complex hydrocarbon-containing mixtures when the number and diversity of molecules makes it impossible to realistically identify and quantify them individually in a reasonable timeframe and cost. The advantage to this method over prior art is the ability to separate and identify chemical constituents and solvent fractions based on their solvent-solubility characteristics, their high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) adsorption and desorption behaviors, and their interactions with stationary phases; and subsequently identify and quantify them at least partially using various combinations of non-destructive HPLC, destructive HPLC, and stand-alone detectors presently not routinely used for HPLC but reconfigured to obtain spectra on the fly.

Abstract: A person support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, recliner, chair, stretcher, or the like, includes a frame, a support surface, a plurality of load cells, and first and second channels dimensioned to receive noses of at least one of the load cells. The first channel constrains a first one of the load cells in a first direction but not a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction. The second channel constrains the second load cell in the second direction but not the first direction. The person support apparatus may also include a plurality of load cell brackets that are each adapted to support an end of one of the load cells. When included, the load cell brackets are constructed such that no forces from the support surface, other than weight forces, are applied to the load cells after the support surface is coupled to the frame.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for utilizing cellular technology to communicate from locations that are separate or physically distant from the location of a subscriber identity module (SIM) and/or physically separate from a mobile or cellular device are provided. One method may include receiving a request from a user to remotely access at least one physical SIM that is assigned to a global network of radio communications gateways, and assigning at least one of the SIMs to one of the radio communications gateways, so that the assigned SIM is able to route communication to or from the user via its assigned radio communications gateway.
