  • Publication number: 20190232161
Abstract: A computing system that includes wearable computing components may be provided that creates an interactive game for at least two players. Finite state machines may be provided with a range of states that correspond to an array of possible states of a player of the game. Each player is assigned a client device, which preferably may be embedded in wearable computing components. The client device uses software to execute a first instance of a finite state machine. The client deceives are connected in a network with server devices. The state machines transition states based upon player interaction with other players and objects. When the state machines transition states, the players are notified and their respective states within the game also change. A programmable game server can be used to process rules of interactive game and to enable a user to specify rules for other or new interactive games.

  • Publication number: 20180268436
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to methods and systems for determining the identity of a user as a person or a robot. In some embodiments, the methods and systems engage a web browser to produce a token and calculate a computation cost associated with the token production. The methods and systems use the computation cost to prove that the web browser on a device not handicapped by the computational challenge of producing tokens, which would handicap a robot. In some embodiments, the methods and systems generate a cookie based on a confirmed user purchase, and record the user identity contained in the cookie at a block chain to identify the user as a verified purchaser. The methods and systems may later retrieve the cookie and search the block chain using the user identity contained in the cookie. By locating the user identity in the block chain, the methods and systems know that the user is a verified purchaser, indicating the user to be a person, as robots cannot make purchases.

  • Publication number: 20180033026
Abstract: Online retailers and advertisers typically attempt to glean information about a potential customer from his or her web browser click history. However, relying on only a potential customer's click history is not an effective means for tailoring and personalizing web content for the user in the moment of customer interaction with the web content. Obtaining information about the user's engagement with web content is critical to successful personalization of web content in real-time. The present invention provides solutions for monitoring, tracking and calculating user engagement with web content that enables successful personalization of web content in the moment of interaction.

  • Patent number: 4782882
Abstract: A supplementary cap, or mounting bracket, is provided for one or both ends of the head rail of a venetian blind. The mounting bracket or brackets must fit snugly, but slideably over the ends of the head rails of the venetian blind, and be strong enough to support the venetian blind when they are secured against the insides of the window frame jambs. Each mounting bracket includes a lever arm that can be turned to rotate a cam, within the bracket, that will urge a spacer against the adjacent end of the head rail and force the outer end of the mounting bracket against the inside of the adjacent window frame jamb. By selecting an appropriate length of head rail, mounting brackets, and spacers, the venetian blind unit should fit between the insides of the window frame jambs, and turning the lever arms will force the ends of the mounting brackets against the jambs to support the venetian blind, without screws or fasteners, securely, but removably, for adjusting or cleaning.
