Abstract: A real-time interactive collaboration system for aroma creation is provided. The system includes an aroma blending device adapted to deliver at least one aroma substance to the nasal cavities of a consumer; a plurality of aroma substance containing cartridges including a communication means for data communication between the cartridges and the aroma blending device; a web enabled device that stores a computer algorithm; and a cloud server that stores information related to an aroma creation session. The web enabled device is in communication with the cloud server and the aroma blending device.

Abstract: An aroma substance delivery device adapted to deliver an aroma substance exclusively to the nasal cavities of an individual, comprising the following elements: (i) a source of carrier gas flow; (ii) regulating means which receives the carrier gas flow and regulates its passage through a plurality of channels; (iii) downstream of the regulating means a plurality of aroma substance-containing cartridges, one being associated with each channel, and (iv) disseminating means located in close proximity to the cartridges and adapted to deliver the individual aroma substances from the cartridges to nasal cavities by means of a conduit; there being positioned in each channel on the upstream side and in close proximity to the origin of the channel a flow restrictor, the flow restrictor being configured such that the pressure drop across the flow restrictor is higher than the pressure drop across the rest of the device.

Abstract: An oral aroma sampling device includes a mouthpiece which defines an in-mouth surface and an external surface, the in-mouth surface bearing a delivery conduit, and the external surface bearing a manifold in communication with the delivery conduit, the manifold bearing a plurality of capillaries, each of which capillary is the conduit for an aroma substance, the mouthpiece additionally comprising a breathing conduit passing from the external surface to the in-mouth surface. The device is useful as part of a retronasal testing apparatus, which allows a large variety of flavor combinations to be tested quickly and efficiently.
