  • Publication number: 20110100100
Abstract: A fluid separation conduit cartridge comprising a fluid separation conduit is disclosed. In certain embodiments the fluid separation conduit is potted to provide operation at increased pressures. In other embodiments, the fluid separation conduit cartridge has one or more memory units. The memory units are operative to store data such as, for example, cartridge usage and test results.

  • Publication number: 20080262383
Abstract: A needle assembly comprising an outer cannula having a restraining element, an inner rod capable of being removably inserted into a hollow cross-section of the outer cannula, a handle having a flexible restraining member with a restraining nub and a protruding element whereby a force applied to the protruding element disengages the restraining nub from the outer cannula restraining element and the handle can be removed and attached to the outer cannula. Other embodiments of the invention comprise a strike cap integrally connected to the inner rod whereby a force applied to the strike cap is directly transferred to the inner rod. Other embodiments of the invention comprise a rod attachment member connected to the inner rod and the handle having at least one handle attachment element whereby the inner rod attachment member cooperates with the handle attachment element to removably attach the inner rod to the handle.

  • Publication number: 20070122314
Abstract: A novel microfluidic substrate assembly and method for making same are disclosed. The substrate assembly comprises a multi-layer laminated substrate defining at least one fluid inlet port and at least one microscale fluid flow channel within the multi-layer substrate in fluid communication with the inlet port for transport of fluid. The substrate assembly may optionally comprise additional components and elements located within the substrate assembly or attached to the substrate assembly.

  • Publication number: 20060169320
Abstract: A system and method for restoring the natural water cycle by reducing stormwater runoff and addressing issues affecting groundwater supply. In one embodiment of the invention, the system comprises a roof washer component, cistern component, pump, and manufactured dry well. The system is designed to divert polluted rooftop runoff, capture clean rooftop runoff and store this clean water for irrigation purposes and nonpotable uses, while infiltrating excess water to recharge groundwater supplies thereby replicating the natural hydrologic cycle.
