Abstract: A toolrest for adjustable mounting within a receiving portion of a lathe tool carriage includes a vertical post portion rotatably mounted about a vertical axis, a first substantially horizontal member extending at an angle relative to the vertical post portion and a second substantially horizontal member extending at an angle relative to the first substantially horizontal member. In use, the first and/or second substantially horizontal members are positioned so that a plurality of toolrest positions and angles are provided relative to a workpiece.

Abstract: An adapter is provided for supplying electric power of 12 volts to a male plug associated with conventional 120 volt electrical wiring. In the adapter, a male plug adapted for functional engagement with a conventional vehicular cigarette lighter is connected through a relatively short length of insulated two-wire cord to a standardized type of three-socket female. electrical plug such as is associated with conventional 120 volt electrical wiring. Power of 12 volts can thus be delivered to this female plug so that a standardized male plug connected thereto can deliver such power into associated wiring. Optionally, the adapter can also include battery connector clips for direct connection with a 12 volt vehicular battery, if desired.

Abstract: A utility light includes a light source subassembly, removable mounting means and an elongated flexible gooseneck portion having one end connected to the mounting means and the opposite end connected to the light source subassembly. A control switch and a power source are in electrical communication with the light source subassembly. In the light source subassembly, a light bulb mounted in a socket is shielded from impact by a protector, such as a cage or hood. A coating on the cage or hood provides shock absorption and heat dissipation.
