  • Patent number: 7004114
Abstract: A harness for restraining an animal comprises a harness assembly and an extension member. The harness assembly attaches to the animal and can be adjusted to conform to the size and shape of an animal to be restrained. The flexible extension member is fixed to the harness assembly and extends upwardly above the animal's back. A leash can be attached to the extension member at a point sufficiently high relative to the ground that the animal cannot step over the leash and become entangled therewith.

  • Patent number: 6835181
Abstract: The disclosed apparatus comprises a valve, a container, first and second coupling devices, a hose, and a jet tip. The valve directs water flow from the faucet to the first coupling device that releasably locks the valve in communication with the container. The water flow travels into the container to mix with oral hygiene substance to produce a liquid mixture. The second coupling device releasably locks the container in communication with the hose to receive and channel the liquid mixture to the jet tip at the hose's opposite end for generation of a spray jet useful in oral hygiene.

  • Publication number: 20040192522
Abstract: An antigravity full range of motion four limb dry swim overall body exercise machine that allows virtually every muscle in the body to work anaerobically or aerobically, at the user's choosing, while the user is lying down on their back to take pressure off the user's spine, and working most muscles through a nominal or up to a full range of motion at the user's choosing, which motions can be in one of several directions or arcs at the user's choosing. The machine includes a base frame with parallel frame adjustable lengths and supporting cross segments horizontally and vertically to a second parallel frame length above the first, the entire base frame having a first end and a second end, the first end having frame adjustments to accept length and tension adjustable arm apparatuses with handles, the second end having frame adjustments to accept length and tension adjustable leg apparatuses with pedals.

  • Patent number: 6135321
Abstract: The apparatus of the invention can be used to deter attack by an assailant such as a person or animal. The apparatus includes a ring defining a cavity and a spray orifice communicating with the cavity. The apparatus also includes a canister removably fitted to the ring in the cavity, and a repellent substance contained in the canister under relatively high pressure relative to ambient. The canister defines a spray orifice, and has a valve stem movable to discharge the pressurized repellent substance from the canister and ring through respective aligned spray orifices defined therein. The apparatus also includes a safety movably mounted to the ring. The safety can be moved to a first position that blocks the valve stem to prevent movement of the valve stem so that accidental discharge of pressurized repellent substance from the canister is prevented.

  • Patent number: 6126040
Abstract: The invented apparatus is useful for generating a spray of repellent to ward off an attack by a person or animal. The apparatus includes a canister that contains pressurized repellent such as mace, pepper spray or tear gas. The canister is relatively small, generally four centimeters or less in its largest dimension, so that the canister can be readily concealed. The canister can include a clip that allows the canister to be attached to an article worn or carried by the user. The apparatus can further include a ring that can be worn on a digit of the user's hand, and into which the canister can be inserted. Whether used with or without the ring, the canister can be discharged to ward off an assailant.

  • Patent number: 5934297
Abstract: A dental flossing holder adapted to be held by a hand of a user for holding and manipulating a length of dental floss. The holder comprises a housing having an opening for dispensing a desired length of dental floss and a storage compartment located within the housing for storing dental floss to be dispensed. A tensioning means extends from the housing and comprises a pair of opposed support members each member having a free end. An anchoring means is located at the free end of each support member. The anchoring means is provided for removably anchoring the length of dental floss between the free ends of the support members. The support members are moveable with respect to each other from a first position defined by a first distance between the free ends to a second position defined by a second distance between the free ends, the second distance being greater than the first distance.
