  • Patent number: 11948143
Abstract: Automatically communicating information related to a user computing device from a central computing system to a transaction computing system prior to initiation of a transaction between the user computing device and the transaction computing system comprises a digital wallet application and a central computing system. A digital wallet application receives a beacon signal from a transaction computing system indicating the specific identification of the terminal with which the user intends to conduct a transaction. The user computing device communicates the terminal identification to the central computing system. The central computing system communicates customer data, such as loyalty information and offers, to the transaction computing system associated with the terminal. The transaction computing system communicates the customer data to the terminal. When the user taps the user computing device to initiate the transaction, the terminal provides any benefits associated with the customer data.

  • Publication number: 20150348016
Abstract: Transmitting customer identifications comprises a digital wallet of a user and a wireless payment instrument. A digital wallet application receives a customer identification from a digital wallet system hosting a customer account. The application receives an input from a user into a user interface of a user computing device, the input instructing the user computing device to transmit the customer identification to a payment instrument. The application instructs the user to position the payment instrument in proximity of the user computing device and initiates a wireless communication with the payment instrument and requests payment instrument data from the payment instrument.

  • Publication number: 20150193827
Abstract: System, methods, and computer readable mediums are provided for generating a targeted communication. A mobile device transmits identification information to a contactless reading unit, embodied in one example as a merchant point-of-sale system. The contactless reading unit transmits the received identification information to a merchant system. The merchant system updates a profile corresponding to the identification information based on the received identification information. The merchant system determines a type of targeted communication for transmission based on the profile, and generates the targeted communication based on the determination.

  • Publication number: 20150170166
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-program products are provided for managing transaction data. First record data is received, over a communications network, from a first reader terminal associated with a first merchant system. Second record data is received, over a communications network, from a second reader terminal associated with a second merchant system. The first record data and second record data are related with a profile corresponding to an application identifier (ID). The first record data is associated with a first transaction between the first reader terminal and a transaction instrument, and the second record data is associated with a second contactless transaction between the second reader terminal and the transaction instrument. The transaction instrument includes an application associated with the application ID. The first merchant system and the second merchant system are unassociated and not operable to share record data between each other.
