Abstract: Systems and methods for translating text are disclosed. The systems and methods parse source text into source text segments and style attributes that are associated with the source text segments. A database may be queried for translation text segments in a desired language that match the source text segment. The match criteria may be exact or fuzzy match. In addition, a context criterion may be used do determine matches. The context criterion may include a company criterion, an intended use criterion, a product criterion, or other user specified criterion. Translation segments that match the source segment are then output using the style of the source segment.

Abstract: A central packaging data (CPD) management system provides an online environment in which customers manage packaging data for their respective products. The CPD management system securely distributes the packaging data to manufacturing sites or other output locations, and allows the customers to control the printed output material applied to their packaging and manufactured products. The CPD management system includes a set of packaging templates having data fields selected from a set of data field types, and an artwork importation module that processes a graphic file to identify elements of a packaging layout. The artwork importer generates metadata that associates each of the elements with a respective one of the data field types of the packaging templates. A record manager presents an interface by which a user forms packaging records based on the metadata. An output manager communicates the packaging record to an output location to control printing of packaging material.

Abstract: A method of tracking an item across a multiple party relationship includes receiving a unique identifier for an item; storing the unique identifier in a record; receiving an item event related to an item's movement through the multiple party relationship; and updating the record to reflect the item event. A method of linking items to multiple packaging levels includes receiving a unique identifier for an item; receiving information related to the unique identifier; storing the unique identifier and the information in a record; and linking the unique identifier to a second unique identifier such that updating the record for a unique identifier will result in the update of a record for the second unique identifier and updating the record for the second unique identifier will result in the updating of the record for the unique identifier.
