  • Publication number: 20150239721
Abstract: A rugged, heavy duty, industrial-type hand held can opener tool is provided with a male drive formation to which a battery operated power drill or the like may be connected so the tool may be held in one hand, and may be operated by a power tool held in the other hand. When two pivotally connected handles of the can opener close toward each other, a cutting formation carried on one handle and a toothed drive wheel carried on the other handle grip the can. As the handles close, the cutting formation punctures the lid of the can adjacent the rim of the can. As the drive wheel rotates causing the can to turn, the cutting formation smoothly circumferentially severs the lid from the rim. The severed lid and the burr-free de-lidded can fall free when the handles are opened.

  • Publication number: 20140214450
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for reconciling clinical data received from an external source with patient data stored by a practice management system are described. Clinical data received from a source external to a healthcare information management component of the practice management system are evaluated to determine whether the received clinical data includes trusted source data. The determination is made based, at least in part, on at least one trusted source rule stored by the practice management system. The trusted source data is automatically reconciled with the patient data stored by the practice management system by performing a reconciliation action based on the at least one trusted source rule stored by the practice management system.

  • Patent number: 7029535
Abstract: Paint shields formed from relatively stiff but pliable material are configured to cover the transparent or translucent lenses of light fixtures so that frames of the fixtures which extend perimetrically about the lenses can be painted by brush, by roller or by spray without getting paint on the lenses. Edge regions of the paint shields are configured to be inserted between the frames and the lenses, and central regions of the paint shields preferably are transparent or translucent to permit light from the fixtures to pass through the installed paint shields. Peripheral regions of the shields preferably are provided with visible guide formations or may be scored or perforated to facilitate trimming the shields to fit small and undersized fixtures. Central portions may be designed to fold away from other portions of the shields to stiffen the installed shields to minimize sagging.

  • Patent number: 5893183
Abstract: A dual cushion body support system includes a relatively thin, elongate, substantially flat, top cushion and a relatively shorter base cushion that is configured to underlie and elevate a central part of the top cushion to provide upwardly arched support to a person lying in a prone, face down position to comfortably elevate the upper back and shoulders of the person for gently stretching, positioning and exposing muscles of the neck and back for treatment such as massage. The top cushion serves as flexible pad and as a protective cover that drapes the underlying base cushion and relies on the base cushion to provide a properly arched body support contour. An end portion of the top cushion that drapes beyond the length of the base cushion is provided with an upstanding forehead support formation to assist in comfortably supporting the person's head; and, the top cushion is sufficiently flexible to permit its being rolled up for ease of transport and for compact storage.

  • Patent number: 5736714
Abstract: A portable appliance for heating towels and for dispensing heated fluid such as body oil has a suitcase-like housing with hinge-connected base and lid components that define a plurality of compartments for heating towels and liquid when the housing is "open" and the appliance is "set up" for operation, and for receiving components and accessories of the appliance so that the appliance can be conveniently stored and transported when the housing is "closed." A relatively large main compartment is defined by the housing for receiving and suitably heating towels therein for use in concert with the administration of a massage. "Wet" or "dry" towel heating can be carried out within the main heating compartment. A "wringer" for extracting unwanted moisture from towels is defined by a housing portion that drains into the main compartment, and by a towel compressor member that is pivotally connected to the housing.

When the housing is open, a support structure such as a set of legs is removable from the housing for use in supporting at least a base portion of the housing at an a convenient access height above a floor or other substantially horizontal surface. A relatively large main compartment is defined by the housing for receiving and suitably heating towels therein for use in concert with the administration of a massage. "Wet" or "dry" towel heating can be carried out within the main heating compartment.

  • Patent number: 4999937
Abstract: There is provided a floor sign having a ratchet positionable hinge and replaceable signage. The hinge operates by frictionally engaging one side of the hinge integral with one panel and engaging the opposite side of the hinge, which is integral with the other panel, by means of a ratchet mechanism. This mechanism is arranged to be slideably disengaged by shifting the axial member of the hinge. Selected signage is attachable by magnetic adhesive, or hook/loop (Velcro) methods.

  • Patent number: 4973189
Abstract: There is provided a collapsible barrel-shaped barricade which telescopes within itself for compact storage. Particularly, a solid and heavy base is provided for stability and a series of telescoping ring members are mounted thereon; the lowest ring being mounted to the base and upper rings being concentric with the lower ring. The concentric rings are arranged to interlock by placement of a tab from an inner ring into a horizontal slot on the inside of an outer ring. This interlock operates to hold the rings in an extended position when the barricade is in use.
