Abstract: Computing systems, devices, and methods for performing a virtual load test are disclosed herein. In accordance with the present disclosure, an asset data platform may define a respective range of acceptable values for each load-test variable in a set of load-test variables. The asset data platform may then receive one or more under-load reports from a given asset, and carry out a virtual load test for the given asset by, performing a comparison between the respective observation value for the load-test variable included in the most recent under-load report and the respective range of acceptable values for the load-test variable. In turn, the asset data platform may identify load-test variables for which the respective observation value falls outside of the respective range of acceptable values, and may then cause a client station to present results of the virtual load test for the given asset.

Abstract: Methods and systems for romanizing Chinese ideograms allow a user to create a personalized spelling dictionary that converts a user's desired roman-alphabet spelling to an equivalent Chinese character. A phonetic combination from a standard Chinese dialect is selected. The user defines a roman alphabet equivalent of the selected phonetic combination that fits the way the user pronounces the phonetic combination in the user's own dialect or idiolect.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a request to render a web page, where the web page is provided by a web application. The method also includes determining how to modify one or more controls associated with the web page based on a user requesting the web page. The method further includes receiving the web page from the web application and rendering the web page with the one or more modified controls. The receiving, determining, receiving, and rendering steps could be performed by a second application in a manner that is transparent to the web application. Also, determining how to modify the one or more controls could include determining how to modify a visibility of a control, a text of a control, a style of a control, and/or a source property of a control.
