  • Publication number: 20250020726
Abstract: Methods and systems for managing operation of a traction battery pack of a vehicle are described. The methods and systems may be applied to improve estimation of battery state of health, battery state of charge, and battery DC resistance. The approach may be applied when a traction battery is being charged.

  • Publication number: 20200353373
Abstract: A toy system that includes a memory foam character body. In one version, the memory foam character body is flattened and stored in a fluid tight bag and mechanical restraining sleeve or envelope. In another version, a memory foam body cover and a container that is preferably rigid. The memory foam body is sculpted in the shape of a toy character and is highly compressible from an uncompressed sculpted shape into a compressed shape. A rigid container is provided to contain and maintain the encased sculpted memory foam character body in a compressed state. The rigid container has two or more parts that may be separated from one another to allow the encased sculpted memory foam character body to be compressed into the rigid container. Using these basic elements, the toy platform supports a broad range of selection and innovation in three broad categories: collectible toys; packaging innovation; and differentiated play platform.

  • Patent number: 9297860
Abstract: A high voltage service disconnect assembly is provided. The battery pack has an enclosure, first and second battery modules, and positive and negative pack voltage terminals. The assembly includes a housing securing first and second conductive pins thereon. The first conductive pin is coupled to a negative voltage terminal of the first battery module. The second conductive pin is coupled to a positive voltage terminal of the second battery module. The assembly further includes a detection circuit electrically coupled to the first and second conductive pins. The detection circuit outputs a first isolation resistance fault signal when a first isolation resistance fault is detected between the negative pack voltage terminal and the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 8479515
Abstract: Solar energy is converted into electricity by use of a solar concentrator system, a steam production system, a turbine and an alternator. A boiler is heated by a concentrator dish aimed at the sun. The dish may also be fitted with a polar mount, an actuator and a devise for sensing the relative position of the sun. There is a mast on the dish upon which a boiler is mounted which is heated by the sun's concentrated rays. The boiler will preferably be arranged to heat and vaporize water to create continuous steam that is delivered to turn the turbine which is operatively connected to the alternator and from which electricity is generated.

  • Publication number: 20050205317
Abstract: A surface effects skimmer vehicle generates a downward air flow into a tunnel under a main hull to lift the main hull off an adjacent surface, and rearward air flows for thrust. The air flows are generated by ducted fans or jet engines, and directed to the rear and/or down by controlling the degree of opening of a Deflector Air Gate (DAG) on the bottom of the main hull. The tunnel includes tunnel edges to contain the downward air flow under the main hull for surface lubrication. The vehicle further includes a rear portion with horizontal and vertical stabilizers to provide air-craft like behavior.
