Abstract: A reusable, preferably disposable, miniature, short duration audio recording and playback device having a microphone for receiving audio; a speaker for emitting audio; a recording and playback unit adapted to record audio received by the microphone and playback stored audio via the speaker; a memory storage device adapted to store no more than sixty seconds of audio data; a power supply for supplying power to at least one of the microphone, speaker, recording and playback unit, and memory storage device; and a housing having an attachment mechanism and adapted to receive the microphone, speaker, recording and the playback unit, memory storage device, and power supply. The housing includes a length dimension of approximately 3.25 inches, a width dimension of approximately 2 inches, a thickness dimension of approximately 4 millimeters, and a weight of approximately 1.5 ounces.
