Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide a device having a pivot hoop affixed to the rear side of a shaft from a hand tool such as a fork, weed lifter, or shovel. The pivot hoop provides additional leverage during operation of the tool. Disclosed embodiments provide an improved hand tool that reduces fatigue and risk of injury during use.

Abstract: A system that supports multiple battery cell bypass schemes by reconfiguring a set of electronics. This system allows a single circuit to be used either for providing a charge path in a diode/switch battery module bypass scheme or for providing commands to a current-activated bypass switch used for electrically removing a battery module from a stack of cells. The subject system utilizes a single circuit design that can service multiple bypass schemes (diode/switch bypass and current activated bypass switches) by reconfiguring the external connections between the battery management electronics and the battery cell bypass devices.

Abstract: A cleaning device for use with a gutter system is disclosed. The device includes a cover member that substantially covers the open top of the gutter, a tube for use in removing debris from the gutter, a clip for attaching the tube to the bottom of the cover member and a fastening member for use in attaching the cover member to a structure.

The edges of the upper section are folded over and downward to receive and hold the side portions of the lower section. A substantially L-shaped cover plate is bent upwards at an angle of about 90 degrees and has attaching means for attaching the second section to a basement wall.

The drainage pipe is used with a drainage apparatus for a basement having a outer wall and footer unit and a floor including the outer wall and footer unit having an open area excavation at the inner margin thereof extending from the lower margin of the wall footer unit up to a level above the footer, the outer wall having vertically extending openings therein that are aligned, the drainage apparatus including an excavation in which the drainage pipe is placed and spaced from the footer, the outer wall draining water therefrom into the excavation, the drainage pipe enabling water to flow therethrough from the excavation, and gravel filler to fill in the excavation around the drainage pipe and support the floor.

Abstract: A system for forming a water tight spaced cavity adjacent a basement wall sitting on a footer adjacent the footer drain to prevent water leakage into the basement which incorporates a light weight material with suitable strength to form a water tight sealed open spaced cavity adjacent the wall and the footer drain extending from the footer to near the surface of the ground adjacent the wall so as to keep the outer surface of the wall dry. Preferably a polystyrene or a light weight material is utilized with ribbed or other internal structural supports made to support the outer skin of the unit away from the wall to create the open spaced cavity adjacent the wall.

Abstract: A drainage system comprising an earthen trench adjacent to a foundation wall formed from hollow blocks or bricks, the inner surface of the lowermost course of which is provided with holes communicating with the interior of the blocks, allowing water passing down the interior of the wall to have access to the trench. The drainage trench is provided with a shaped profile, supported from the inner side of the wall, which serves as a lining for the top and one side of the trench, the lower portion of the wall, or a footer wall, comprising the other side. The bottom of the trench is lined with a water-permeable fibrous mat.

Abstract: The foundation wall and drainage system includes a conventional footer, a hollow building block wall positioned on the footer, a drain tile adjacent the footer, an impervious plastic sheet secured to the inner surfaces of the wall, which wall has openings in the lower course thereof connecting the center of the blocks to the interior of the basement at the top surface of the footer, a drain device member having a plurality of drain slots, openings or recesses formed in the lower surface and having a covered top positioned on a top portion of the footer and extending from the foundation wall to a point beyond the footer and extending from the foundation wall to a point beyond the footer for drainage of water from the wall to a point above the drain tile, gravel fill around the drain and drain device, and a cement floor positioned on the gravel fill.
