Publication number: 20240139651Abstract: The present system is for integrated management of associated gas and produced water at oil well extraction sites. The system includes a controller that makes gas allocation determination (e.g., directs conditioned gas to (i) gas flare, (ii) produced water reduction system, and/or (iii) generator) when a change in conditioned gas flow is detected based on first plurality of inputs. If the conditioned gas is directed to the generator, then the controller makes an electricity allocation determination (e.g., (i) increase a data processing operating rate on a data processing server, (ii) start up idle data processing equipment, (iii) direct generated electric current to a power grid, and/or (iv) charge a storage battery) based on second plurality of inputs. By operating the system of gas consumption and electricity production/consumption in an integrated fashion, benefits of flaring prevention, resource conversation, and more efficient economic operations are optimized to a degree not previously attainable.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 15, 2023Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: John Heffernan, Ted Lanpher, Joseph Beyers

Patent number: 11571101Abstract: The present invention is directed to a blowervac device having a grill that requires to distinct steps in securing the grill over a fan to activate a safety switch allowing power to the motor. The grill has an outer ring and a rotatable inner cover. The first step is simply to secure the grill over the fan. The second step requires the cover to be rotated, which activates an actuator for the safety switch, allowing power to be delivered to the motor and operation of the device. This two-step process reduces the likelihood if inadvertent operation of the device and reduces the chances of injury.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2018Date of Patent: February 7, 2023Assignee: Black & Decker, Inc.Inventors: Matthew Rosenthal, John Palermo, Justin Cooper, Joseph Beyer

Patent number: 10132790Abstract: A method for receiving data and providing calculated adjustments to a paint application process can comprise receiving at the server a first operating parameter associated with a first paint processing machine at a first painting facility. The method can also comprise receiving at the server a first quality control measurement from an analysis of a finished first paint product. Additionally, the method can comprise accessing from a database a set of historical operating parameters associated with the first painting processing machine. Further, the method can comprise automatically identifying a deficiency in the finished first paint product based upon the first quality control measurement. Further still, the method can comprise transmitting to a mobile computing device screen a proposed adjustment to the first operating parameter that will correct the deficiency.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2018Date of Patent: November 20, 2018Assignee: PPG Industries Ohio, Inc.Inventors: Vincent P. Dattilo, Charles Joseph Beyer, Christian John Decker, Thomas M. Riley

Patent number: 10015248Abstract: A service provider network includes a host computer that communicates with a plurality of client devices associated with a user. In order to synchronize the plurality of client devices with respect to content stored within the service provider network, a synchronization service checks to determine if a checkpoint is present within the synchronization service when a request for updated content is received from one of the client devices. If no checkpoint is present in the synchronization service, then content within the user's account may have been updated. If a checkpoint is stored within the synchronization service, then the checkpoint in the synchronization service is compared with a checkpoint in the request. If the checkpoint in the synchronization service is older, content in the user's account has not been updated. If the checkpoint in the request is older, then content in the user's account may have been updated.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2015Date of Patent: July 3, 2018Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Joshua Stephen Ullom, Christopher William Holt, Charles Joseph Beyer
