  • Publication number: 20240039650
Abstract: A broadcast order placed by a requestor is received at a first processing device configured to implement an automated media scheduling system. The broadcast order includes a request to prohibit placement of at least one media item within a threshold proximity of a restricted media show. In response to receiving the broadcast order, the automated media scheduling system modifies at least one record associated with the requestor to indicate the request. During automated schedule generation, the automated media scheduling system prevents the at least one media item from being scheduled within the threshold proximity of the restricted media show.

  • Patent number: 11799572
Abstract: A media playout system receives a broadcast log transmitted from a media scheduling system. The broadcast log includes a restricted show, and the media playout system makes a first determination a blackout period assigned to the restricted show. The blackout period indicates a period of time associated with the restricted show during which at least one media item is prohibited from being scheduled. The media player also determines that the broadcast log indicates that the at least one media item has been improperly scheduled during the blackout period. In response to determining that the at least one media item has been improperly scheduled during the blackout period, the media playout system transmits, to the media scheduling system, a message requesting a replacement media item to replace the at least one media item that has been improperly scheduled during the blackout period.

  • Publication number: 20230313335
Abstract: An improved method for separating individual and/or groups of rare earth elements from rare earth bearing leach solutions to produce high purity materials for further refinement. According to a first preferred embodiment, the present invention includes a method comprising the steps of: neutralizing a leach solution; introducing ozone into the solution while controlling pH and precipitating cerium oxide; removing the precipitated cerium oxide from the solution; adjusting the pH of the solution in the presence of ozone to precipitate medium/heavy rare earths; removing the precipitated rare earth concentrate from the solution; treating the remaining solution with a precipitating agent to produce a high purity lanthanum precipitate; and removing the solids from the solution.

  • Patent number: 11004718
Abstract: Compositions and designs are described for a sectional porous carrier used in processing microelectronics where thin device substrates are affixed by adhesive to the carrier and form an impervious bonded stack that is resistant to thermal and chemical products during processing and is easily handled by a substrate handling vacuum robot, and subsequently allows rapid removal (debonding) in batch operations by directional penetration into sectional porous regions by selective liquids which release the carrier from the device wafer without harm. The invention carrier with porous regions is used for temporary support of thin and fragile device substrates having capabilities of selective penetration of chemical liquids to pass through the porous regions, access and breakdown the bonding adhesive, and allow it to release without damage to the device substrate.

  • Patent number: 10547398
Abstract: A media automation system controls the ability of local stations to automatically replace certain scheduled items. A show is identified as a restricted show, with respect to exclusion of content associated with at least one advertiser. Restriction rules, which are configured to prevent content associated with the at least one advertiser from being scheduled during the restricted show are obtained, and a master broadcast log is generated based on a broadcast schedule and the restriction rules. The local stations are prevented from successfully performing automated replacement of content during the restricted show by inserting a flag into metadata associated with the master broadcast log, the flag specifying a blackout attribute. Buffers can be established around restricted shows, so that spot breaks near restricted shows can also be restricted. A playout system can perform validation checks to ensure that advertisements from advertisers included in the list are not improperly scheduled.

  • Publication number: 20160364666
Abstract: A method of dynamically adjusting an industrial system outage plan is disclosed. Data items pertaining to changes to past plans associated with past outages of a plurality of industrial systems are received along with optional inputs from physics based model(s) of the system, such as a fuel model. The data items include measurements of impacts of changes to the past plans. Work rules pertaining to a work force are received. The work force is responsible for implementing an additional plan corresponding to an additional outage of an additional industrial system. The work rules include fatigue thresholds for workers in the work force. Based on a determination that a probability that one or more fatigue thresholds will be exceeded, a recommendation for a change to the additional plan is generated. The recommendation is based on the measurements of the impacts of the changes to the past plans.

  • Publication number: 20140358267
Abstract: When a request is received from an advertiser to prohibit scheduling advertisements during or near a restricted show, an order entry system can add the advertiser to a list of advertisers specifying prohibitions. An automated media scheduling system can implement rules to prevent advertisements linked to advertisers in the list from being scheduled in spot breaks during the restricted show, and instead schedule advertisements from other advertisers in those spot breaks. Buffers can be established around restricted shows, so that spot breaks near restricted shows can also be restricted. A playout system can perform validation checks to ensure that advertisements from advertisers included in the list are not improperly scheduled. Advertisers, advertisements, shows, or schedule portions can be tagged with blackout attributes to facilitate rule implementation. Subsequent manual changes to a broadcast log with restricted media items can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20140281105
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention includes a plurality of connectors configured to connect a plurality of data storage host bus adaptors to a plurality of data storage device subassemblies such that at least one lane of low voltage differential signal pairs from each of the plurality of host bus adaptors is connected to each of the data storage device subassemblies. The invention improves the electrical interconnections in a data storage array such as a JBOD enclosure or data storage server. The invention minimizes the number of connectors by reducing the number of printed circuit boards, and eliminates the need to add signal repeaters to maintain signal quality. The invention also increases the cooling efficiency of the enclosure by increasing air flow by reducing the number of printed circuit boards in the data storage array.
