  • Patent number: 11865936
Abstract: A direct current (DC) electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) that includes a secure enclosure. The secure enclosure encloses a set of one or more contactors to open and close to provide DC charge transfer with one or more electric vehicles; a conductor to electrically connect the contactors with DC input; a current sensor to measure current draw; a voltage sensing circuitry to measure voltage; and one or more circuits that receive current data from the current sensor and voltage data from the voltage sensing circuitry, the one or more circuits to perform one or more safety functions and one or more metering functions using the received current data and voltage data. The DC EVSE may also include, external to the secure enclosure, a controller that is coupled with the circuits to control the opening and closing of the set of contactors.

  • Publication number: 20200409362
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for operating an autonomous vehicle. The method may include monitoring a functional load on a driver-assistance system of the autonomous vehicle as operation of the autonomous vehicle is being controlled by the driver-assistance system. The method may also include detecting when a current function load of the driver-assistance system satisfies a functional load threshold, and controlling operation of at least one component of the autonomous vehicle in response to detection of the functional load threshold being satisfied.

  • Patent number: 10608941
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a vehicle, including a first plurality of devices associated with a first vehicle function and a second plurality of devices associated with a second vehicle function. The first communication network communicatively couples each of the first plurality of devices to each other, communicatively couples each of the second plurality of devices to each other, and communicatively couple the first plurality of devices to the second plurality of devices. Further, a second communication network communicatively couples less than all of the first plurality of devices to less than all of the second plurality of devices, where the second communication network transmits messages determined to be critical from a first device of the first plurality of devices to a first device of the second plurality of devices.

  • Patent number: 10238252
Abstract: A drill removal device is provided for use with a scratch generating tool having a stationary member and a scrap generating workpiece engaging member that is moveable with respect to the stationary member. The debris removal device includes a bracket having a stationary member receiving portion for coupling the bracket to the power tool stationary member. A vacuum receiving portion of the bracket is provided for coupling the bracket to a vacuum source, and a passageway portion is provided for placing the stationary portion in fluid communication with the vacuum source. A variable tube bellows is configured for placement adjacent to the workpiece engaging member. The bellows includes a plurality of bi-stable pleats that are moveable between and stationarily positionable in each of an expanded position and a compressed position for permitting the user to vary the length of the bellows between, and fixedly positioned the length of the bellows at a plurality of different lengths.

  • Publication number: 20070112861
Abstract: A system and method for the automated selection of digital music or other personal digitized assets within a library includes matching the relevance of the assets against inputs from one or more information sources that are designated by the user. As a result, a subset of the personal digitized assets is identified. The determination of relevance may be a comparison of metadata of each asset with information received via the Internet, such as by RSS (Really Simple Syndication) streams. In addition to use of the invention with music, the relevance selection of the invention may be applied to libraries of digital photographs, videos, electronic books, and audio files.

  • Publication number: 20020178295
Abstract: A remotely managed Universal Serial Bus (USB) gateway supports any of a variety of different types of USB peripheral devices, but is remotely operated and managed by a centralized service provider. The remotely managed USB gateway is dedicated to functioning as an intermediary between the remote service provider and the supported peripheral devices or devices. The service provider transfers application software, settings and subscription content (in some applications) to individual gateways and their supported peripheral devices.
