  • Patent number: 11981511
Abstract: An article transport vehicle (200) has: a carrier base (202) configured for movement along a guideway and a pair of gripping arms (216), each gripping arm (216) having a first end (216a) connected to the carrier base (202) and a second end (216b) protruding from the carrier base (202). The pair of gripping arms (216) is movable between a closed position configured for holding an article (302) and an open position configured for releasing the article (302). The article transport vehicle (200) further has a closure mechanism (238) for moving the pair of gripping arms (216) between the closed position and the open position. The closure mechanism (238) is configured for biasing the pair of gripping arms (216) to the closed position and moving the pair of gripping arms (216) to the open position when the carrier base (202) is positioned at a predetermined portion of the guideway.

  • Publication number: 20240037471
Abstract: A method for increasing sustainability of buildings includes obtaining building operational data from a plurality of building management systems and providing scores for a plurality of potential sustainable infrastructure projects by scoring the potential sustainable infrastructure projects based on at least one of utility information, climate data, building characteristics, or the building operational data. The scores can be generated at least in part on the building operational data. The method also includes providing, via a graphical user interface, a ranking of the potential sustainable infrastructure projects based on the scores.

  • Patent number: 11714393
Abstract: A controller includes a processing circuit comprising one or more processors and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations. The operations include determining a gradient of an objective function with respect to a constraint variable used to define a constraint on a control process that uses the objective function and modifying the constraint variable to have a modified value in response to determining that a trigger condition is satisfied. The trigger condition is based on the gradient. The operations include performing the control process subject to the constraint using the modified value of the constraint variable and operating equipment in accordance with a result of the control process.

  • Patent number: 5195447
Abstract: A race starting device for personal watercraft includes a thrust diverter connectable to the watercraft comprising a tube having an intake end adapted for alignment with the discharge nozzle of the watercraft, and a discharge end that is displaced from the intake end by a bent section of the tube to divert water flow from the water craft and thereby inhibit forward propulsion thereof until released. The diverter has the effect of deflecting the thrust from the watercraft and thereby inhibiting its forward propulsion. A quick release mechanism is also provided to releasably secure the thrust diverter to the watercraft. The release mechanism may be controlled by the watercraft operator to selectively release the device and allow the watercraft to thrust forwardly, leaving the starting device behind. Groups of the thrust diverters and quick release mechanisms may be provided on common frames for group starts. In one, a single quick release mechanism is provided to simultaneously start several racers.
