    Abstract: A ribbon cassette for an endless ribbon comprises a first portion and a second portion of substantially identical structure and each portion includes a dam adjacent the exit port of the cassette. A ramp is formed adjacent each dam for centering the ribbon as it travels from the ribbon chamber between the ramps and the dams for providing improved tracking and control of the ribbon through the exit port.
