    Abstract: A system and a method for reporting enhanced toll road data to a toll road audit system is used to independently audit a toll system including the roadside toll equipment, back-office systems, billing systems, the conditions of the toll road, and other toll variables. The device account associated to a transponder device enters device travel data captured by the transponder device. The device travel data is relayed from the transponder device to the toll road audit server, if the device travel data is entered. The device account enters toll device condition data of a toll road device captured by the transponder device. The toll device condition data is relayed from the transponder device to the toll road audit server, if the toll device condition data is entered. A log entry from the device travel data and the toll device condition data is generated with the toll road audit server.

The method comprises receiving a request from a user device, receiving vehicle data from a vehicle device associated with a vehicle used by a user for making a trip using a route, analyzing the vehicle data, verifying the vehicle for the trip based on the analyzing, identifying the route based on the verifying and the request, retrieving toll pricing sign information of a toll pricing sign displayed on the route based on the identifying, transmitting the toll pricing sign information to the user device, receiving a response corresponding to the toll pricing sign encountered by the user while driving the vehicle on the route from the user device, generating an audit data of the route based on a user identifier, the vehicle data, the route, the response, and the toll pricing information, and storing the audit data.

In one example, a system for license plate matching includes an interface configured to receive roadside data, the roadside data including a roadside image of a vehicle license plate, a database having a plurality of indexed entries, each entry including vehicle license plate fingerprint data and vehicle characteristic metadata, and a processor connected to a memory, the interface, and the database, the processor configured to execute a query against the database based on the roadside data, compare a portion of the entries to the roadside data, the processor being further configured to compare the roadside image of the vehicle license plate and the corresponding vehicle license plate fingerprint data when comparing the portion of the entries and roadside data, and generate a confidence based on a similarity between at least one individual entry of the portion of entries and the roadside data.

In an example, the crowd source analysis provider may allow a reviewer to interact with the individual segment and recognize the at least one character within that segment.
