  • Patent number: 11936842
Abstract: An immersive experience system is provided. The immersive experience system has a processor that determines a position of a first head-mounted display. Further, the processor determines a position of a second head-mounted display. The processor also generates a first image for a first immersive experience corresponding to the position of the first head-mounted display. Moreover, the process encodes the first image into a first infrared spectrum illumination having a first wavelength. In addition, the processor generates a second image for a second immersive experience corresponding to the position of the second head-mounted display. Finally, the processor encodes the second image into a second infrared spectrum illumination having a second wavelength. The first wavelength is distinct from the second wavelength.

  • Publication number: 20230133389
Abstract: In some implementations, a system may receive, from a first user, data associated with a new database entry to be added to a master database that is associated with multiple sets of users having different access permissions to entries in the master database. The system may write the data to a first repository, write an entry including the data to a master repository, and generate a record of the entry. The system may receive, from a second user, additional data associated with the new database entry. The system may write the additional data to a second repository, modify the entry in the master repository based on the additional data, and generate a record of the modified entry. The system may perform verifications and output a notification based on the verifications. The system may further output, to a public repository, the modified entry with at least one data value removed.

  • Patent number: 11503024
Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for authenticating controlled area network (CAN) transmissions using physical layer characteristics. In one or more examples, a device that is configured to authenticate CAN transmissions can be connected to an existing CAN. The device can be configured to undergo a training phase in which average transition waveforms of one or more electronic control units (ECUs) are created. When the device is in operation, each CAN transmission received by the device can be compared against the average transition waveforms to determine the ECU that is most likely to have sent the transmission. In one or more examples, the identified most likely ECU can be compared against the ECU identified by an arbitration ID of the transmission. If there is a mismatch then in one or more examples the device can alert to the possibility of a suspicious ECU transmission.

  • Patent number: 10982546
Abstract: A flow diverter for an air separator of a gas turbine includes a cylindrical body configured to fit within a cooling hole of the air separator. One or more air flow vents are defined through and around a partial circumference of the cylindrical body. A bottom panel closes the cylindrical body at one end. A mounting flange surrounds the cylindrical body at an open end and extends radially outward from the cylindrical body. When the flow diverter is installed, air flows through the open end in a radial direction and exits through the air flow vents in an axial direction. The cylindrical body may include a collapsible region that collapses to engage the air separator and prevent the flow diverter from being dislodged. The air separator may additionally or alternately include supplemental cooling holes in a recessed area proximate to its mounting flange.

  • Patent number: 9847080
Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a system and method for instantly switching sound pickups in an electric guitar using a spin wheel arrangement in the middle of a song. The spin wheel houses a pickup assembly with multiple pickups. The spin wheel allows a guitar player to easily roll neck pickup to bridge position and bridge pickup to neck position in middle of a song by rotating the spin wheel. A click stop arrangement halts wheel rotation after completing a semi-circular rotation around a center screw. The backend portion of pickups is connected to spring loaded plunger. The contact pads at bottom portion of guitar body establishes electrical connections between pickups and control components. The pickups under the strings get activated. The spin wheel arrangement allows a guitar player to add favorite pickups for generating various tonalities beyond the limit of a single guitar.

  • Patent number: 9086159
Abstract: A valve assembly includes a valve seat having a valve opening therein. A valve plate is configured to sealingly engage the valve seat in a closed position for closing the valve opening to thereby close a fluid path through the valve assembly, the valve plate being biased toward the closed position by a first spring. An actuator plate can include an inlet opening therein, the actuator plate being biased in a direction away from the valve plate by a second spring. A member includes a first end fixed to the actuator plate, an interior passage in communication with the inlet opening in the actuator plate, and a second end engageable with the valve plate when a portion of the member passes through the valve opening of the valve seat, wherein the valve plate is configured to open in response to direct fluid pressure when fluid is guided to the valve plate by the member or when fluid pressure on the actuator plate is transmitted to the valve plate via the member.

  • Publication number: 20070071177
Abstract: A communication device transmits very low frequency signals in order to help diagnose the cause of a communication problem in a DSL communication system. The communication problem may be, for example, the inability of a remote data transceiver unit (DTU-R) to successfully train-up with a central data transceiver unit (DTU-C). The very low frequency signals may be used to communicate the status or settings of the remote transceiver unit to the DTU-C, to download settings parameters or executable code to the DTU-R, or to coordinate the transmission of testing signals.

  • Publication number: 20060291503
Abstract: A DSL device performs a frame check sequence operation in a digital signal processor (DSP), i.e., layer one of the OSI seven layer model, heretofore performed only in layer two of the OSI seven layer model. Performing the layer two framing and calculating the frame check sequence in the DSP allows the DSP to use the layer two error detection results, and optionally, the mean squared error vector, to more accurately determine whether to update adaptive receiver parameters.
