Abstract: A system and method are provided for implementing a secure configuration of a networked system for secure communications, the networked system including at least one instrument for performing corresponding tasks and at least one controller for controlling functions of the at least one instrument. The method includes providing a secure instrument configuration (SIC); displaying status provided by the SIC server identifying the controller and the instruments to a user via a user interface; writing controller secure configuration information from the SIC server to the controller through a software agent on the controller, the controller secure configuration information including authentication data for the instruments, and/or credentials of the one controller acceptable by the one instruments for identifying the controller; and communicating with the controller to initiate implementation of the secure configuration.

Abstract: A barbecue tool trivet discloses a unitary structure, said unitary structure having a bottom section, a side section, and a top section. The top section contains three pocket recesses. Each of the recesses contains three pocket recesses, one next to the other, with the middle pocket recess being larger than either of the side pockets. There is at least one cut out in a rim that goes around the circumference of the trivet, and two tall side walls in one of the pocket recesses. In one embodiment, the middle recess is at least twice as large as either of the side pocket recesses.

Abstract: A charcoal starter device includes a cylindrical housing having an open top and an open bottom and a series of spaced apertures near the bottom. The charcoal starter device also has a handle and a hinged charcoal support plate located inside the cylindrical housing just below the handle and having spaced apertures. The hinge is located on the opposite side of the cylindrical housing from the handle. A pull knob is located below the handle, and a support bar for supporting the edge of the charcoal support plate opposite the hinge is affixed to the pull knob. The support bar can be pulled back from the support position by a user pulling the pull knob releasing any charcoal and a spring returns the support bar to the support position under the edge of the hinged charcoal support plate after the support plate has been returned to the support position and the pull knob has been released.

Abstract: A saucepan has a substantially flat bottom and an open top. A combined handle and two legs are attached to the side of the pan, and a basting brush support affixed to the top of the handle. The handle and the two legs are of wire construction. The legs are beneath the handle, one leg being part of each end of the handle. The handle is mostly horizontal so that the handle of a basting brush can easily rest on the handle along with the basting brush support. The support member is designed to receive the handle of a basting brush when handle of the basting brush is lying on the support member. The brush is oriented so that the bristles of the brush are over the open top of the pan. In this way, sauce from the basting brush drips into the pan.

Abstract: A first brush has an elongated handle, a brush head having downwardly facing bristles and a cavity opened to the top of the brush head. A second brush includes a closed loop handle, a brush head having downwardly facing bristles, a scraper on the front of the brush head and a latch on the back. The second brush fits snugly into the cavity of the first brush with the bristles of the second brush facing into the cavity, and the handle in an upward position extending outwardly from the cavity. The scraper slides into a slot on the front end of the cavity and the latch firmly attaches the second brush to the first brush. When the brushes are attached, the two brushes act as a single brush with two handles, allowing a user to apply direct pressure to the brush head of the first brush.
