  • Publication number: 20120018429
Abstract: A durable one-piece plastic container having a bottom, upwardly extending cylindrical sidewalls and a rim extending circumferentially around the top of the cylindrical side wall. The side wall is interspersed with gussets and flutes providing support for the side wall. The flutes run over the edge of the bottom of the container forming handles. On the top of the container there are primary and secondary rims forming a 360 degree continuous handle surrounding the entire container perimeter for easy lifting of the container.

  • Patent number: 7950679
Abstract: An insulated food tray transportation wagon. The single-piece, low-weight, insulated food tray transportation wagon is equipped with sliding panels designed to wedge into place by either friction at any intermediate position to limit the need for an external locking mechanism or by using a step-based notched locking mechanism. The wagon also provides for a flat-panel geometry system, a thin, shell-molded casing made of flame-retardant material and shell insulation for reducing the weight of the wagon. The wagon is also equipped with a series of bottom drains, a kick plate and a series of top handles for maneuvering the wagon. The wagon is equipped with a flat, beverage-holding section located above the wagon, symmetrical handling devices for pulling and pushing the wagon from all sides, and alternatively, a sturdy pivoting hitch to connect a plurality of wagons for simultaneous transportation.

  • Publication number: 20100224531
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a multiple-compartment insulated food tray and lid for storage and service. The insulated food trays allow for two or more stacked strays to be mechanically unified using the weight of the top tray on the bottom tray in any orientation where the weight of the second tray remains on the first tray. In another embodiment of the present disclosure, a polymer with foam and blowing agents are used during the molding process to create in a first phase a hard shell in contact with the mold. In a second phase, insulation is created in the hard shell by thermal treatment and expansion of the residual polymer inserted in the mold. In a third embodiment of the present disclosure, the insulated food trays, when stacked, can be placed in a nondiscriminatory arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20100108556
Abstract: A storage container that is secure and tamper proof is provided by a molded, one-piece container having a bottom and upstanding vertically oriented side and end walls. A separate lid is provided that sealingly engages the container. The container includes flutes on the inside and outside of the walls for adding strength to the walls. The flutes on the outside wall of one container fit with the flutes on the inside wall of another container for nesting purposes. The container can be stacked with another container by being placed on the top surface of the lid. A container can also be stacked in a container without a lid by being supported by shoulders on the inside walls of the container without the lid after rotating the container to be nested so that the flutes on the container to be nested engage the shoulders of the container without the lid.

  • Publication number: 20080315624
Abstract: The present disclosure describes an insulated food tray transportation wagon primarily for use in correctional facility kitchen applications under extreme conditions of operation. The single-piece, low-weight, insulated food tray transportation wagon is equipped with sliding panels designed to wedge into place by either friction at any intermediate position to limit the need for an external locking mechanism or by using a step-based notched locking mechanism. The wagon also provides for a flat-panel geometry system to minimize heat transfer between the outside and the inside volume. The wagon also possesses a thin, shell-molded casing made of flame-retardant material and shell insulation for reducing the weight of the wagon to improve maneuverability and prevent damage from burning objects in contact with the wagon. The wagon is also equipped with a series of bottom drains made in the bottom portion of the enclosure to allow liquids and small objects such as food waste to evacuate after washing.
