  • Patent number: 11835458
Abstract: A smoking detector having a body with a substrate which has a smoking particle capturing surface area positioned upon it. The particle capturing surface area is configured to attract and adhere to airborne smoking particles released in smoke emitted from burning tobacco or marijuana or a Vape device. Smoking particles captured within the particle capturing surface area will luminesce when exposed to UV light providing physical proof that smoking occurred in the room or vehicle where the detector was placed during a defined time period.

  • Publication number: 20160048721
Abstract: A system for analyzing sensed data. A triggering mechanism is responsive to the presence of a target. A sensor acquires sensed data of the target, for example, an image. A processor analyzes the sensed data to detect the target. The signals generated by the triggering mechanism and the sensor are reconciled. In the reconciliation of the signals, when a pair of signals each indicate the presence of the target within a predefined time period, a target data set corresponding to the pair of signals is generated. When the presence of the target is indicated by only one of the triggering mechanism and sensor, the detection of target or the failure to detect the target is more reliable is reconciled. If the signal indicating detection of the target is determined to be more reliable, a target data set is generated. A method for analyzing sensed data is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20120150586
Abstract: A venue monitoring and reporting system including a venue, a first camera located with respect to the venue so as to capture a customer entering the venue, a second camera located with respect to the venue so as to identify at least one demographic characteristic of the customer entering the venue, and a computer operating with the first and second cameras, wherein the computer and the first camera update a count of customers entering the venue, and wherein the computer and the second camera update the at least one demographic characteristic of customers entering the venue.

  • Publication number: 20120147169
Abstract: A venue monitoring and reporting system includes a network, a central server in data communication with the network, a customer device in data communication with the network, a local server in data communication with the network, the local server located at a venue remote from the central server, at least one camera in data communication with the local server, the at least one camera positioned to view a customer as the customer enters the venue, and wherein the central server, the customer device and the local server cooperate with the network to use images captured by the at least one camera to produce at least one of a total number of customers at the venue or a demographic characteristic of the customers at the venue, wherein the total number of the customers or the demographic characteristic of the customers at the venue is made viewable on the customer device.
