    Abstract: A roller skate includes at least one mounting plate affixed or integral to an article of footwear, a bilateral frame, a plurality of axles, and a plurality of wheels. The bilateral frame is affixed to each mounting plate. The frame also includes a plurality of axle journals angularly disposed to one another. A plurality of axles are supported at each end by one of the axle journals. At least one of the axles is nonparallel to at least another one of the axles.     Abstract: A skate comprising a foot enclosure with a ball region and a heel region includes a first hanger set coupled to the foot enclosure adjacent the ball region, and a second hanger set coupled to the foot enclosure adjacent the heel region. The skate further includes a plurality of wheels corresponding in number to the hangers of the first and second hanger sets wherein the wheels are rotatably and angularly coupled to the corresponding hangers. The skate may be customizable in that the hangers may be selectively and removably coupled to the foot enclosure. A method for customizing a wheel arrangement on a skate is also disclosed.
