Publication number: 20240076015Abstract: A water flow deflection device attached to a side of a watercraft to enhance the watercraft's wake. The device having a narrow, elongated base with two ends and a base width, the base aligned along the side of the watercraft when the device is attached to the watercraft. A deflector attached to the base between the two ends and having a face spanning between a leading end and an opposing end, the leading end extending outwardly from the base. The deflector face having a surface area configured to deflect water and a deflector width greater than the base width. The base removably attachable to the watercraft by a plurality of suction cup assemblies, wherein a greater number of suction cup assemblies located between the first end and the leading end of the deflector than between the second end and the leading end of the deflector.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 13, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Inventors: Adam Moore, Joseph Couture

Publication number: 20220048599Abstract: A water flow deflection device to enhance a watercraft's wake. An elongated base with two ends is aligned along the side of the watercraft. The base has a deflector interface with concentrically arranged teeth. A deflector assembly is operably attached to the base between the two ends, with a face that deflects water. The deflector's leading end is closer to the watercraft than the trailing end. The deflector assembly has a base interface with concentrically arranged teeth. Two or more suction cup assemblies attach to the elongated base to provide removable attachment, with one attached between a first end and the deflector interface and another attached between a second end and the deflector interface. The concentrically arranged teeth of the deflector interface and the base interface operably interlock, allowing rotational adjustment of the deflector relative to the base.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 26, 2021Publication date: February 17, 2022Inventors: Adam Moore, Joseph Couture

Patent number: 6814053Abstract: An engine control system for a compression ignition engine employs a microprocessor-based controller that detects engine operation in a speed range previously determined to be undesirable, and responding to the detection by changing operation of the engine. In the preferred embodiment, the controller commands a parameter for adjusting engine operation to reach a different speed outside of first and second thresholds defining the undesirable range in a time period subsequent to the detection.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2002Date of Patent: November 9, 2004Assignee: Detroit Diesel CorporationInventors: Jeffery Scott Hawkins, Kurt Joseph Couture, Richard Michael Avery, Jr., Ian Daniel McKenzie

Patent number: 6490805Abstract: A bore gage for comparing interior dimensions of a bore with a master. The bore gage includes a pivot mechanism containing centralizer contacts, and a pivotally mounted lever containing a sensitive contact, which, in conjunction with a reference contact, compares the interior surface dimension of a bore. Both the lever and the pivot mechanism containing the centralizer contacts are mounted in an exposed position on the bore gage head to allow easy cleaning, maintenance and repair thereof. The pivot mechanism includes a member that extends around the bore gage head. An associated adjustable stop limits movement of the centralizer contacts. The gage unit, an extension housing and the head may all be readily separated from one another for cleaning and maintenance.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2000Date of Patent: December 10, 2002Assignee: Utvecklings AB UranienburgInventors: Stephen Forschler, Joseph Couture
